Need some help about parents

Ok First my mom blocks out Fanfiction.net because of one guys username!
Then a couple of weeks ago she said she wanted my password to all of my accounts and if you get this one password you can get into to all of my security stuff even my cellphone password! Now because I spend a lot of time on here shes saying that she is going to block out this! And she says I should stay off of here and go play.
Play with whom you ask. Nobody! All of my friends are like a hundred miles away!
I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch. I was once threatened to have my Internet taken away if I didn't play outside instead of going on the internet - I can relate.

As Jeremified suggested, try to make friends.

And try to take some time off this forum and play outside. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to have friends around - just general outside stuff. Running around, jumping rope, taking a stroll around, gardening, playing with a pet, ect.

Also, you may want to devolp a routine (not the cl episode, mind you). Like, Take an hour-long walk after coming home from school, Lyokofreak for (amount of time), then work out for 20 minutes, ect.

Ok but I'm homeschooled so I guess I could do that walking part and I do have a set wieghts. I had a bike but thats in storage among all my other stuff.

Hmm, problem. You could possibly sign up for youth projects in your town, but if you live in the country, then I'm not sure what to do. Perhaps explaining to your mom why you can't have friends if the latter is the case.

Try convincing your parents to let you go to public school so you can make some new friends. Let her know that she is way overprotecting you and that she needs to lighten up and not worry because all of her sheltering is making you miserable.

That's the way I felt when I first moved. My mom would be like, go out and do something tonight, don't stay on the phone or computer all evening. And at first I just thought, "Yeah, what friends? They all live 900 miles away from here." But now, I have a lot of friends at my new school, and it wasn't very hard to make them.

My mom knows all my passwords to everything. Not because she asked, just because I gave them to her, because I'm not allowed to do anything on the computer without her knowing the passwords. Also, she checks the history ALL the time, so there's really no hiding anything from her.

But yeah, play outside. It's refreshing. Join a sports team! That's an awesome way to make new friends, and technically, you are doing what your mother told you by going outside and playing.

see now maybe I'm just lucky or maybe it's because me and my moms ge along real well but she rarely has had a problem with me and the computer. I dunno. Some of you guys parents scare me.

That being said, ya know, she cares about you which is why shes smothering you to death. Your best bet though would be for Dr. Phil to talk to her and slap her silly with a fish.

Problem update: I think things are getting better. Today I discovered a boy and girls club, a nice park. And the y here is going to be opening swim any day now. Plus I get to go to my old church camp in august! And I think I'm getting a camcorder for my B-day. But no privacy on the computer front.

Godd for you! I'm glad things are better. Try explaining to your mom that your a bit nervous (If you are....I'm not sure...) about being in a new town. Tell her that your favorite web sites are something familiar and keep you calm.

This is really weird reading this sort of thing- my parents are never like that. I used to go to a forum called 'The Petz (variation of a BKO)' and they thought it was funny, and I watch sort-of-R rated comedies with them all the time. And I think I'm younger than you too, hmm...

I think once your birthday comes it'll help. Knowing from general knowledge your mom might buy you some outdoor stuff. All I can say is- take advantage! In my hands, a pair of rollerblades and a camcorder open so many doors to random fun...plus I think once you get older, you'll get trusted more and more.

(this is pretty slick comming from me. Ever since I almost got ran over by that jeep I haven't set foot in my town again... xD)

I go the same prob. I let this one guy give me an idea for this story, and I used the charachter that he said I could have, and theyn he yells at me jamming up my inbox asking why I'm not updating his story, and then he followed me to Neopets and countinued there. I got him frozen for that, and he came back as another user. So now he's saying I need to add his charachters. I don't think so! You gave me the idea, thanx, now wait your turn.[/:spam2:]

I will agree, she's taking this way too seriously. And she needs to trust you a bit more. It sounds like your mother is handling stereotypes, where the internet is bad along with Firewalls because it has the word fire in it.

And I will admit, with how communicative tech is going along, if you don't get into computers soon, you will very quickly get lost. Soon schools will be taught on forums, and it's allready happening with tutorials!

Ok, I hate to ask it, but how religious is your mother? I mean really, what kind of idiot(sorry but it must be said) would ban a website because someones name was "Mr. Evil"......If my parents even THOUGHT about banning fanfiction.net from my computer for that I would HIT them upside the head with the computer screen, call me violent, but my parents are by no means stupid or religious.....they would DESERVE to get hit....
