It was a different time then when Diseny and the others were more comitted to providing intelligent and thoughtful series to the public instead of shows that they can make a ton of merchendise off of. Shows like Batman, Ducktails and Darkwing Duck played in our homes instilling our deep passion for the animted world for years to come.
Today I found something that truly took me back to those day. An episode of "The Real Ghostbusters."

The Ghostbusters animated series was something to behold even now. Filled with intresting characters and plots, it was a show that aimed to entertain people of all ages instead of just a younger demographic. Growing up I watched Egon and his gang fight the forces of every kids' nightmare at the time, boogymen, vampiers, wherewolves and other nasty creatures that went bump in the night. They went after the very image of fear in the hearts of kids and removed them from their world to bring peace back to New York.
To those of you born after this time. Watch the episode with an open mind and see why us old timers feel in love with shows like this and don't forget to have a good time. We sure did when we were young.

"Gargoyles"Now there was an awesome cartoon. Shakespeare, winged mythical creatures...and a really kicking plot. ^^ I miss it so!

Remember this chap while we were growing up during the 90s? Well he's still doing his thing but his show is a little more mature but still carries that same charm we all fell in love with. It's almost as if the show grew up as we did.

And most of the cast of Star Trek the Next Generation voicing characters- Johnathan Frakes as David Xanatos rocks my socks, and not just because of the character's surname
