I think her name is John Johnson! :o

She might even be named after her daughter that the Lyoko gang neglected. I can't remember her name, but they called her Aelita. Man, I can not remember her name

Anyway...I think on another thread I suggested that her name might have been something Russian like Aelita's name is...maybe, Anya...or Anastasia, after the long lost princess?

Oh, and about Taelia, they didn't "neglect" her persay, but they did mistake her for Aelita...well, Jeremie did at any rate. ^^;

She was said to be an orphan though. She may have been transferred out not long after.

There's the fault in the writing. That should have been explained. There was a whole episode based around her and then she just vanished. Sometimes, it's good to leave the audience assuming things. But this was not one of those times.

Mmm...well...I suppose. It still seems sort of an easily assumed thing.

But to wander back on topic, I'm not sure if we'll ever learn Aelita's mother's name. I'm definitely hoping they'll at least show her a few more times within the coming seasons as she was quite an intriguing character. ^_^

Oh, snap! I've got to get out of the habit of saying that. This just hit me as I was writing the above. I watched "The Key." The mother seemed to dissappear, metophorically as abruptly as Taelia. Did they ever say or show what happened to her?

No. Besides, she might be show more what she was like back beofre whatever happened to her. I'm sure AnteFilms/Moonscoop wouldn't say somebody died.

They would, they do all the time. They just never follow through too much with it because it always focuses on one of the big-role characters like Yumi or Jeremie.

Personally, I have a theory. Y'know how Franz had an unexplained desire to destroy Project Carthage, the end that XANA was made for?

Maybe...Mommy Hopper (that is my name for her until further notice) was somehow terminated by people working on Project Carthage. Or perhaps, the project itself.

It fits with evidence-after all, Franz moved to the Hermitage after she died-maybe he was trying to protect himself and Aelita from whatever fate she suffered. But, maybe that motivated Franz to destroy the PC people-which backfired upon himself with XANA's big kablooie.
