Two moons

Postby Lola » Sun Aug 26, 2007 8:30 pm

Tonight or tomorrow night at 12:30 Mars will be close to Earth making it look like there are two full moons. This isn't expected to happen again for 225 years so don't miss it!

That's interesting... *writes 'Mars as big as moon' on story notepad*

Too bad this wasn't real. I'd demand someone would get a picture so I could use it for something pretty.

I came over here to my friend's house last night to see it and there wasn't anything. but the moon was freaking bright. you could walk all over his yard and see everything almost plain as day. the fog kind of gave it an eerie weird feeling.

I love nights like that, they're the best time to take a walk outside.

lol, I've had that Eclipse on my calendar for weeks, my mom gets e-mails from NASA or something. ;) And yes, According to her, it's at about 5-6 AM... to bad I'm not a morning person

Why's it have to be real to get a picture? Photoshop, anyone?

That someone would have to have a very good magnifying camera to get a decent picture. A simple digital camera just won't work. T_T

Sucks to be an easterner, when the eclipse happens at sunrise! We'll be lucky to see the partial begin at best. TT_TT

The eclipse was junk IMO, we didn't even get the red-orange color. Not really worth waking up at 4:00 AM for lol.

Though I couple hours before, it was awsome outside, the moon was so bright, you could actually see moon rays, when a cloud got close, and you could see for about a mile or two. It was like silver daylight almost.

I was planning to wake up for it, unforunately I threw up last night through the entire thing.

If the planet mars were actually that close, however, the two would most likely collide anyways. And besides, mars is behind the sun right now!

I haven't been on here for a while and i looked at this. I woked up and i looked threw the window and it was kinda bright out. But the time was 3:38 AM. So I thought something was odd. So I went out and the moon was big and blight. So I guess I saw it.

Off/On topic: Since we are talking about the moon. Has anyone seen the moon red?
