Tech Links: Gone....

Kinda wondering why no one made a thread of this earlier...even though its closure was only announced two days ago...

So yeah, Tech Links has been shut down, like it says at the top of the page. It was a great forum, and I visited it like every day. I enjoyed it a lot, especially because of the friends I made there: Trev (yeah, TrevT93, though I'm not sure if he even knows I consider him a friend), LDChaosBdon (is he a member here?), and X.A.N.A._elite and oddfreak95, who I hope to see join LF so as to keep reading my fanfiction series that I plan to post here. Among others.

Here's the story, although there isn't much to it. Hikaru notified MoonScoop (or the web admin of the official CL forum, I think she said) about Tech Links, which rips episodes for its members. I'm not sure if that is illegal or not, but apparently it is, because TL is now being pressurized by a lawsuit. So it has to shut down. :cry: Hikaru said that she would post the whole story when she got permission from the guy that "helped" her shut down TL. And yeah, she isn't even sorry. >.<

This doesn't seem like much of a rant, only more of a memoir or a tribute or something. >.> Oh well. (Maybe other users might rant here about it, like they already did in the "temporary" TL blog here and to Hikaru on DeviantArt.)

Hell, we have about two or three other Teklink threads out there, one in Site Discussion, and one in General Discussion. I dunno if this one will stand or not.

If a thread lock or post delete is necessary from a mod or admin, go ahead. I'm seriously used to it from Warton on TL. >.>

Too bad that Teklinks is gone. I also heard from a friend that provided a link to a site that had prove that France 3 was going to finance a season 5 IF moonscoop agreed to make it. I started several petitions to, more or less, keep us TL fans in touch.

Well from the way it's looking right now, manymany TL people will be able to keep in touch through LF here, since a few of them have been joining after the site went down.

To all new TL people though: PLEASE make sure you make newbie threads, and read the rules. It'll make it easier in the long run. (and yes that's said to any new member, not just TLers.)


As for this thread, given the number of TL threads we've got already, I'll be locking it. The discussions to be had can be taken to any of the ones already linked.
