CL's Ending...What Are Your Thoughts?

I was getting bored with reading all the old ones and decided a new one might be fun.

So Code Lyoko is apparently coming to a close unless the rumored Season 5 becomes a rumor no more. What are your thoughts on it ending? Are you happy that it isn't going to go too long or depressed that it's too short? How would you have liked to have wrapped up the show? What do you plan to do when the greatest show in the universe is over?

My own answers to those questions are...well, I have to say I'm kind of glad it isn't going to stretch on forever,like Bleach and Naruto...but I still think it had a good season or two left in it before they decided to end. I know it's there decision and stuff, but Code Lyoko's fanbase has been doing pretty good at not giving up on it. The ending, as it comes feels a little abrupt too (though, haha, I really don't know because I haven't seen it yet. x3 No spoilers!) I hope they wrap it up good...and though I've heard rumors that Ulrich and Yumi finally having their smooch time does not come, I can always hope. I think that's kind of depressing that they might not or didn't do it. Jeremy and Aelita got theirs and even Odd kissed Sam but Yumi and Ulrich never got their moment. *pouts*

All I know is, with it maybe coming to a close, I'm still doing my fanart and stories! Like a friend of mine says, it opens up more room for fanfiction and stuff! But I;ll still be a harcore fan as usual...I want to be able to make some CL animations in the future too...*ponders*

I think that, personally, it is horrible. The VAs would be out of a job, and there are so many unanswered questions.

France 3 is planning to fund season 5, but only if Moonscoop agrees to make it...

I wish Moonscoop would. But wit the way I've been hearing things, it just doesn't look like it's happening. Let's pray for a cool movie or something afterward.

Although I have heard that contracts can be renewed, but the question is, will it and for how low long?

Agreed....they still seem so iffy right now and I'm just looking forward to the time when they will tell us for sure or not whether it is going to continue. I hate being in the dark and you just don't know if you can trust the rumors around here. You hear just about everything.

I hope the VA's aren't going completely jobless....they're good and likeable. ^^ Let's pray for a renewal on those contracts.

I wouldn't worry to much about the VA's there are plenty of other characters that will need voices, and most of them have other options as far as I know.

They really need to do that. I mean, they built up all that suspense, made all those questions, and then dropped them all to dust. Why...?

I know Matt Gezcy (Odd's voice) is going to be in a movie soon (8th Wonderland, which is, coincidentially, about a virtual country). Dunno about the rest, but awesome as they are, they should be able to land roles ^_^

Part of me is saying "Code Lyoko is as good as dead" while another part of me is saying "How can it be dead if MoonScoop owns it?'. I'm so confused; I dunno which to believe.

Personally I'm happy it's not going to be stretched out either. They did the same to Inuyasha and I lost all interest in it half way through. Way too long and not enough drive anymore. I got the feeling the VAs for IY just did their parts for the money only...not because they really enjoyed it. I'd hate to see the Lyoko VAs go through the same thing. Sure money is a big thing, but so is the emotional aspect that they bring to their characters.

And who says CL has to end animationwise? Novels are a huge possiblity and could bring a whole new level of fandom over. If Harry Potter could gather such a mass amount of fans before it's first movie, who's to say CL can't? There's already an established fanbase for CL. Plus novels can go into the detail that an episode or even a season, could not. Clearing up some unanwsered questions. And what's even better is, where animation may fail, our imagination will take over.

A full-scale CL novel would just be made of awesome and win. There's no limits to the detail prose can have, and as it must be more captivating than the attack-of-the-week format to keep a reader interested, more originality could be infused.

But, I figure that any sort of CL novel ever made or marketed would have to be dumbed down to a fifth grade level of comprehension. Then again, fifth graders have read Harry Potter, so...

I haven't read the Star Wars books, but I know what you're talking about.

But, anyway, for the end of Season 4, it's was....not what I expected. Kinda sad too. Though now Sissi's gone

I hope we do get a Season 5. There's still plenty they can do with the concept.

I like each of the charcters in certain ways ok .Even if there a B~~~h and are useless.

To be horset who should be KIA on lyoko. It can't be one of the main characters as their paranet would find out about lyoko. Aeltia wasn't a main character .she may now but as the start wasn't .

But there has to be a casulty on the lyoko warriors side .Thinking about it someone has to be KIA (virtraled forever ).I know we had alot of that in season 1 but that like years ago .Or

I feel that there should do a return to lyoko when the gang are older ./
