Well...I wouldn't exactly call it hate....Yumi just didn't take very well to Taelia. However, the reason for that might have been that not only did she not believe that Taelia was Aelita (and was right, as per usual), but the fact that no one took her word for it in the beginning, and everyone totally blew her off when she asked for moral support on her big history project. So I think it was one of those, "having a bad day, and you're indirectly the cause of it" dis-likings, and even then, Yumi didn't display any hostility towards Taelia...just suspicion.

I agree. The most hostility they really seem to show is when they walk past one another when Taelia is going to the principle's office to tell about the factory. If looks could kill, those two would have dropped dead right there with the looks they gave each other ^_^

*laughs* Right. There really wasn't alot of direct interaction between them, past that in "Girl of the Dreams" either. I don't think Yumi even said a word to her the entire episode. Odd and Jeremie did...

*snickers* Speaking of unlikely and mismatched couples...O/T, anyone? Perhaps the "pick-up" line worked after all... *snickers more* That'd be spit-take worthy even. ^^;

Actually, Enki, I haven't heard anything about Taelia in Season 2. She seemed like a one-time-only character, sort of like Sam or Theo, but who really knows? She may reappear.

Yep, Ransomed_Heart is right. Theo has a slight chance of returning since he's still in the Kadic roster on the official site, but Taelia's nowhere to be seen and hasn't even been mentioned in anything reliable about season 2.

I finally saw "The Girl Of The Dreams". My opinion of Taelia is rather mixed. I mean, she almost got the whole world killed just because of her attitude and her disbelief. But it was natural for her to not believe Jeremie. Anyway, I wouldnt mind seeing Taelia again, just as long as she doesnt do something bad again.

Actually...she was being entirely logical about the situation because she didn't know what the repercussions would be (Jeremie neglected to mention that while he was explaining Lyoko to her and note I said logical and not moral). Had "Girl of the Dreams" continued to get worse for Team Lyoko, the police likely would have ended up destroying the super computer and therefore Lyoko, Aelita, and Odd (should he happen to be in it still), and Yumi would be toast (unfortunately). Eventually they'd probably find XANA's hardware room and would then shut him down completely.

I don't think the whole world would have been killed because of her...but we'd have two exceedinly unhappy Kadic students at the end of it all. Taelia was acting logically because Jeremie didn't and couldn't explain Lyoko to her (because he believed she was Aelita). He did tell her that it was dangerous, and that it could be shut down. He never quite got around to telling her what that would do. Taelia made the logical assumption that "if it's dangerous, shut it down and be done with it". Had she known or been told what the consequences would be...her actions may or may not have been different. We'll never know though. *shrug* "Girl of the Dreams" and "Just in Time", I think provide really interesting viewpoints as to why Jeremie has to be careful about what he does with and to Lyoko and Aelita and as to why the kids have to be really careful about keeping the secret.

Yeah, except "Just In Time" is the better episode ;P *is NOT a fan of GotD* But I see your point though, and with what you said about Taelia (doesn't make me like her any more, though xD; ).

Taelia... she was the kind of girl who wouldn't hang out or score with nerds like Jeremie) or fools like Odd (from her point of view). I would had like to saw Taelia treating Jeremie in a more crappier way, but ignoring him was good enough. To think he's insane could have been also logical. Too bad she's the one-time characther... although if she met Aelita... wait, Aelita has changed a bit, they look quite different now...

No doubts there! :D "Just in Time" is my all-time favorite episode. Ironically...I think "Girl of the Dreams" was at the bottom of my list too. xD Amazing how two episodes can be slightly similar and yet be totally different from each other in regards to plot, emotion, cinematography (JIT had really great Lyoko scenes among others), and in all other aspects.

*does a double take at her post* Now wait a minute, "similar, yet entirely different"!? The Taelia/Aelita conspiracy continues...even their best episodes... :toomuch: ^^;

Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of Taelia myself, but I couldn't entirely blame her for doing what she did (since she thought she was doing the right thing). It was just unfortunate that her choices didn't do Team Lyoko any good. ^^;
