actually, the current chapter im working on for my fic I think has good merit for a good xmas episode. take out the stuff involving the ACC and revert some parts back to the original "Cold War" storyline and it could very well be an official CL xmas eppie if the writers wanted to. I will try my hardest to get the chapter finished sometime today. then you should easily be able to find it in the fanfic forum and on FF.net
but the basic synopsis is that it is the middle of December. France is having a very warm winter with no snow yet this season. the kids decide to set up an xmas tree in Chad (my ACC) and Jeremie's dorm room since Chad will be staying while everyone else goes home for the holiday's. after everyone has left , a freak snowstorm hits ala Cold War that dumps tons of snow and continually drops the temperature. Chad is still at Kadic. Aelita and Yumi are at her house. Ulrich and Odd are somewhere across town but pretty close to the factory. but Jeremie and his parents are somewhere far up into the mountains (a kind of vacation home, if you will). the group gets in contact with each other and after a large mess, they all make it to the factory. the usual XANA battle, tower deactivated, RTTP. this time around, Chad decides to stay at the Ishiyama household. xmas day arrives. at the Ishiyama household, Aelita opens a fairly small gift from Jeremie. inside is a tiny locket with one of the pictures that Jeremie and her took back in False Start. Yumi receives that latest subsonics cd from Ulrich.
and thats as far as ive gotten as far as brainstorming. actually writing, ive gotten as far as the group being virtualized on Lyoko. and at this point, the chapter is up to, iirc, 10 pages: 12pt, TNR (times new roman), single spaced.
edit: 9 1/4 pages. still, its a fairly long chapter. some drama, some comedy, some mushy stuff. overall a good chapter thus far. cant wait to get it finished and get some reviews on it.

Actually, Vchat20, your idea is what I came up with, but with songs, like a musical. And also, there are several stark differences:
*No RTTPs, because of XANA gaining strength.
*Aelita gets an even better gift than a mere locket. She gets...her antivirus!
*Jeremie and Aelita kiss underneath the mistletoe, as well as Ulrich and Yumi. *hears Barbara and Mirabelle cheering in the background*
*Ulrich, Odd, and Jeremie try their best at singing Christmas carols, as do the others.
*XANA activates a tower.
*No RTTPs, because of XANA gaining strength.
*Aelita gets an even better gift than a mere locket. She gets...her antivirus!

And other insane stuffs! Like...ooh, I got a good one...Jeremie gets 'drunk' on eggnog! I know that'll never happen, but at least have him drink some.

Given that in 'Franz Hopper' when Jeremie's Dad calls he says Jeremie hasn't called in a while and his mother is worried, I interpret that as meaning they don't live close enough for frequent visits. Also, if they lived that close Jeremie wouldn't be a boarder cos the dorm facilities cost money (turst me - I live in a university room of about the same size and it costs ££££ per term) .

I'm a Casual-Christian so I'd personally vouch for 'Hark The Herald Angels Sing' or 'Oh Come All Ye Faithful,' some of my favourite Christmas Carols - when singing them in Church the building gives the song and the organ a fantastic resonance...
JUST HAD A GREAT IDEA!
To convey the image that this is the season of Goodwill, let's start in the factory. The kids are in the control room talking about XANA and the anitvirus, but they don't mention Christmas.
They rattle up in the elevator and as they begin to walk through the Factory's Cathedral Room first Odd, then the others beging to sing a carol which echoes beautifully through the massive building. Slowly musical backing begins to creep in.
As they sing the camera pulls back through the wall to reveal the factory island covered lightly in snow, and then pan over to the city at night, snow falling and decoration lights gleaming. The kids' singing continues but as they reach the chorus the whole cast (and maybe some of them taping it twice) begins to sing over this image of the city.
Fade to a warmly burning bonfire in one of the Kadic courtyards - all of the school and most of the students' parents (who have come to pick them up for the holidays) are around it singing the carol as part of the end-of-term service. As it ends Principal Delmas steps up and officially ends the semester, and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.
How's that then?

Same could be applied to Ulrich and Odd. Have we even HEARD from Odd's parent's yet?
