Humor/Angst Rated PG for two swears, a bad reference, and general angstiness. Sissi sits at a bar and a bunch of memories and an old annoyance make her rethink her way of life. Set in the future, Sissi's POV. Heavy SxU, implied YxU, and slight SxO.

Not as good as Ma Belle, but devastatingly beautiful in its own way. You keep, no, improve on, the humanization of the characters, and make oldeer versions of them seem believable, a rare feat. Outside of a small first/third person POV switch during the phone conversation segment, technically flawless. Someone has a good beta...and a good sense of style. Good job rising above the muck to macke a really good fic. I eagerly await your next piece.

P.S. - I also seem to have made this my 200th post. Whoopie!

Bizznot: I try to write cheerful stuff for CL but all I turn out is this stuff, so you'll probably see more of it.

Angelbolt: It *is* angst/humor... It was gonna be just angst, but then I got the idea for the ending and put it under that.

Stonecreek: Ma Belle is probably better because that's more my element. Believe it or not, I fancy myself a humorist. I'm surprised that's the only error- I originally had the flashbacks in first person, but I decided I didn't like that about halfway and switched them. And I don't have a beta. Grammar and stuff comes naturally to me because I write so much.
