There is something I have not seen mentioned that could be very big
or nothing at all. Depending on what the writers do with it.

The name of the dance was End of the Year.

Yumi could graduate.

No she wouldn't. She's in 9th grade (by our standards). French "middle schools" encompass both middle school and highschool, I believe. Kids graduate out of their "college" and then attend "Universities".

I don't think Yumi's going anywhere anytime soon, thankfully.

One of the reasons that I thought of it is they keep having Yumi "go away"

Parents going back to Japan, falling into the digital sea, getting stuck on Lyoko.

It seems to be a reoccurring minor theme.

Right. Yumi is picked on...but it's not necessarily pointing to anything that she might leave forever. She's just rather useful for those kinds of plots because she's a day student, Japanese...and because XANA seems to have a serious grudge against her for some reason...

One of these days, I ought to write up a list of all the attacks that Yumi had to endure in the real world. ^^;

This was the bests ep- I've ever seen. But there's a problem. I've downloaded season 2 eps- on my Laptop and 3GB of memory have been used thanks to them. But that's ok. Season 2 Rocks!!! To bad Toonami in the UK hasn't got Code Lyoko season 2 yet. Not much season 1 eaither. 10PM, 6AM is the ONLY time I get to see Code Lyoko.

I have a theory about Aelita's mom's dissapearance- maybe she was a test subject for Lyoko. Maybe something went wrong. [My theory starts now] Maybe she got currupted by an error in Franz's programming- maybe she's XANA! Wow- that would make the plotline crazy! Like- instead of fighting XANA, the Lyoko gang tries to un-currupt her while XANA tries to stop them. Though I stiil think that it is very possible that Aelita's mom's dissapearance symbolizes her death.

I was already hyper on loads of caffine and then i saw this episode that was so good words cannot describe it and then i was bouncing off the walls more than a bouncyball. these emocons are about as hyper as i was that night.

3e is the last of the Collège or Junior high school grades
After that is lycée or High School.
So Yumi should graduate.
The writers have several choice from ignoring it, to having her fail
or having the High School across the street.
The first two are the most common ways writers handle it.

By the way the offical sites seem very careful not to mention grades.

This is true. But it is also possible that Kadic is like the K-12 schools that America has. I'm sure that France has a few of those as well, and it is possible that Kadic is one. Yumi wouldn't necessarily have to graduate or fail. Plus, we're still not sure, how far season 3 is set after season 2, nor what they intend to do with it. School might not matter anymore depending on what XANA decides to do...and if season 3 occurs during the "off-school" season, then there's no worries there either.

Okay just saw this episode on YouTube, here is my thoughts...

I like how the sub-plot of Odd being a total pimp was tied up with him not having and girls left to hit on.

I liked Yumi turning down Will, now season 3 must contain his death as I don't like him lol

:/ still the opening was dissapointing since they obviously we're stressed for time and rush threw all this.

Didn't like Aelita's suicide in the middle of it. That just seemed way too... Rushed. I mean, she tried to kill herself and then like 5 seconds later everyone is fine and dandy fighting Xana on Lyoko it's like O.o they could of dwelled on it a little more I think.

The Lyoko fight-scenes where the best yet, I marked out for Yumi hitting the Stratusfaction (wrestling move, FYI) on the snake-thing before hitting the switch.

Liked the way they showed Aelita's past via those still shots. Liked how they kept her in the clothes she had when she first came out of Lyoko, for contenuinuity.

and Odd's Heart Attack comment at the end, perfect way to describe the episode as a whole.

It was very good, could of been perfect had they just had a bit more time though.

To me it was brillant from start to finish and plus it was like Code Earth and Fasle start all togetherv it made me cry whren aeltia was daed but that cliffhanger when franz hopper save his daughter and then aeltia's memory back that was cool.The fight continues as normal can't wait for season 3

Well...I was depressed...and so I didn't want to live anymore...and so I tried to kill myself. But Jeremie saved me...that's the best anyone's ever done for me...so obviously I felt all happy since he wanted me to live! So I tried to live life to its fullest.

Yes... at the price of getting Aelita back into life and still being held captive at Lyoko. I have no clue about his powers over there yet, but the upcoming seasons might solve my doubts.

It's kinda scary that the moment you get depressed you commit suicide 15 minutes later. O.o
