Where's the talk of non-canon couples? There certainly isn't much on this particular page. So how about I try to restart the discussion with a simple question - do you prefer your non-canon couples to be hetero, yaoi, or yuri? Please explain why you made your decision.

I myself do not care one way or the other. I like non-canon couples simply because they break away from the show's tired norms. I'll just as gladly read an OddxSissi fanifc as I would an OddxUlrich or a SissixYumi fic.

I am in your boat Stonecreek, as well as the story is well written, I can fathom any pairing, even a MillyXJim fic. The important thing is that the author can convince me through their story that the relationship is feasible and can work. So that is my opinion on the non cannon pairs

NicholasxHerve I have always found believable. It's just something I probably won't ever read. WilliamxJeremie would be intriguing, just to see the setup and who gets dominance in the relationship. JeremiexNick just wouldn't work...at all. I think Jeremie would want someone with an IQhigher than that of a Russian cosmonaut chimp.

As for Jeremie being in love with the computer, and thus XANA and franz, well, I think he looks up to/idolizes Franz. It could be a man-crush type of thing. And XANA has that evil allure thing going on...we could see Jeremie tempted to the point of turning to the dark side. (Someone needs to Photoshop Jeremie into Anakin's hood/orange eyes look from the last Star Wars movie))

Anyway, I'm not biased against non-cannon pairings, I actually am a fan of several that are non-CL, not to mention a few CL ones, including Hiroki/Milly and William/Samantha.

But Milly/Ulrich... hmm. I dunno. I'd say it might go well for a little bit, but I personally think that Milly has more of a crush on Ulrich then love. Ulrich is looking for a "Love" relationship, so that might not work too well. If they were both older and more mature, then maybe, but as such, I cannot see it happening.

Of course you can't! Non-canon couples are supposed to be weird, fun, and/or slightly disturbing!

I can usually like the kind of pairings which won’t pop up in canon but can be plausible with a vague excuse… I’ll venture into a Nicolas/Herb before reading Odd/Sissi any time (well, I suppose O/S could be one of those types of couples, but it’s already considered by fans as canon too much for my liking).
