I sort of like one of Hilary's albums because it reminds me of someone, but thats about all. Neither of them make great music... the lyrics are unintelligent, they sound exactly the same as a million other musicians, and their voices are forgettable. (By the last thing, I mean... Like, I'm not an Evanescence fan, but I do like Amy Lee's voice a bit because it's strong and shows expression. Their's just don't, really, so they sound kind of dead.)

That said, Lindsay wins by a hair. I'm not sure why, really.

Yeah, but... Movie studios seem to think they are cast best in roles that sell them as either cute, hot, or a good singer. They lack most of those anyway.

I like exactly ONE song between the two of them, and that's Hilary's Come Clean. (It's catchy. Anyone who gets in my face about it shall be tied to a chair and forced to watch Teletubbies for a period not less than 240 hours.) And yes, her performance in The Parent Trap was notable. But that's it.

If given the choice of which one to save from a vat of lye.... they both go in. If FORCED to choose one, Duff gets the Teletubbies. Lohan gets to meet a close personal friend of one Al Capone....

Okay, you all have really good points but, Hilary is a preppy, shopping loving, phoney. she tries to fake so badly like she is little miss innocent daddy's girl when she was going with a 26 year old ex junkie rockstar and she was 17. Now Lindsay isn't innocent either but, at least she doesn't sugar coat and "Confessions of a Broken Heart" proves that. It was the best song she made. Now compare that to "Beat of my Heart" reall snoresville.
