S3 Episode 5: Aelita

This would be possibly the last S3 episode that airs in France first before it does in USA. Oh, hell.

Anyways... time to return to the past! June 6th, 1994, day 2546...

Aelita is the second characther whose name gets to be an episode (first was Franz Hopper, unless you count Xana for Xana's kiss... but the episode wasn't called "Xana"... but you know what I mean).

Okay, after fiddling around on various french websites and Altavista Babelfish, seems this episode covers the events immediately after this bit of dialogue:

FRANZ: See you in a minute honey.
AELITA: See you in a minute daddy.

YES WE SEE FRANZ ON LYOKO...except his avatar is a ball of white light/smoke - and it seems that it was FRANZ who turned off the supercomputer after he failed in peace negociations with XANA.

How Aelita lost her memories and how Franz became a prisoner is probably in this episode, but I couldn't find reference to it.

In other news, Odd is dating Emily

Hmmm...apparently DailyMotion is having issues with uploads...at least that's what I'm gleaning from the forums.

However....Nothing stands in the way of an obsessed CL fan!!!

It took me about 15-20 minutes to download as it's way over 100 MB.

Good find, Mew... anyways, I found some comments from EvilJeremy from TL. Take this as valid or wrong if you want to:

- We learn of numerous things after realization of Aelita and Hopper: Aelita had a virtual envelope but Franz Hopper was in form of small white and floating sphere, being able to contact his daughter. As soon as they arrived on Lyoko (in the Forest), Rochesters attacked Aelita which took refuge in a tower.
Franz Hopper says to him while he had to negotiate with XANA, his program multi-agent, to persuade it that they could live in symbiosis.
When it came back towards Aelita, he says to the one that he had failed, that XANA had become too powerful and that he had to put out the Supercomputer to preserve the world. While making shoot by one Brush, he asks Aelita not to forget it.

The part about XANA and Franz Hopper is mostly correct. I couldn't catch everything that was said, but from what I could glean, Franz Hopper and XANA were working together...and then XANA decided that he really didn't like playing second fiddle to a human. ^^

Now, what exactly Aelita (or Franz Hopper) did to stop XANA and initially shut down the super computer that time isn't really explained. But whatever it was...I do wonder if it could be used again...?

As for Franz Hopper's Lyoko "form"...that makes sense to me. I have a theory in mind about that particular form...but I'll save it for later. *snickers*

It is the first appearance of Franz Hopper on Lyoko, but he's not a smoky entity at all...more a cluster of glowing spheres. ^^

At the end of the episode, it does appear that Jeremie and Aelita find a trace of Franz Hopper's DNA on Lyoko. However, where it is, and what they can do with it is up in the air.

Odd does not date Emily though (although he does try to take her out, which she turns him down on, so far as I can tell), and neither is he dating Heidi again (for the same reasons, I believe). Which brings me to the hilarious subplot of this episode:

Odd's feet smell...and they're cutting into his love life!

He can't seem to get a date anymore because his feet really stink apparently. (Thus why Heidi and Emily totally turn him down, while mockingly holding their noses).

His solution: Run to Nurse Dorothy and hope she has a medical remedy...which she apparently does...however...judging by Ulrich's reaction: "Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease."

The last three of those points seem to be correct though.
