Yumi could hear her parents aguing again. They fought almost every night, one of them woulf leave for a few days, and the other would stay with her and Hiroki. Why did this have to happen to her?

How the hell did we wind up like this? Why couldn't my parents get along and not fight, can't they get along for one day.

As the fighting grew more constint, Yumi and Hiroki learned to ignor the little fights, and pay more attendion to the bigger fighting.

I wished you'd unclench your fists, and unpack your suitcase
Lately there's been too much of this

This time there mom was thinking of staying with one of her ex-boyfriends from high school, and that wasn't going to end well.

"Why is mom going to stay with another man?" Hiroki asked.

"Their just angry." Yumi said.

Someday mom and dad wont fight and things will be OK. Yumi told herself.

"When are things going to be OK with mom and dad?" Hiroki asked.

"Someday Hiroki." Yumi said.

Well I'd hope that since we're here anyway
That we could end up saying
Things we've always needed to say
So we could end up staying
Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Let's rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a Hollywood horror

"It's like one of your books Hiroki, things always have a happy ending." Yumi said. "All mom and dad have to do is rewrite a hollywood horror."

"And than they'll stay together?" Hiroki asked.

"That's what I'm going to make sure of." Yumi said.

Hiroki looked over at his sister, who seemed to know how to keep their parents together, and yet she wanted to wait for them to rewrite the story themselves.

"I'm not saying I'll be happy if they seporate, but I know they'll stay together." Yumi said.

"How come you're so sure?" Hiroki asked. "I thought you hated it when mom and dad fight."

"I do, but everythings gonna end up OK." Yumi said.

Yumi looked at the clock and then back at Hiroki.

"Bed time." Yumi said.

"Awww." Hiroki gave Yumi his puppy look. Yumi rolled her eyes.

"OK, I'll read you a story and then you go to sleep." Yumi said.

"OK!" Hiroki said. as he ran into his room to pick out a book he wanted Yumi to read to him.

"As long as he's the only one who knows that someday I'll get mom and dad together." Yumi said to herself as she followed Hiroki to his room.
