I'm used to working with 2800x3000px photos so the scratchy and raw images of Code Lyoko don't mix well with me.

I blended a photo of Aelita, the forest sector, and the inside of a tower.

This is my first CL image so be nice to me, 'kay? ^.^

I've been a graphic artist for six years. I use Adobe Photoshop 6.0 with a Wacom tablet and pen on a Mac G4 running OS 9.2.2.

All images, except for the icons, are free for use and do not require any credit/etc.... even though credit is nice, of course. (I did make some of those screencaps, but I don't care who uses them for what. Just as long as there's no hotlinking going on, they can be used for whatever.)

I thought this part of my first post would explain it:

And on the image itself, in the lower-left hand corner, is 'Syody Designs' in white Verdana, None, 9pt set at Soft Light, Opacity 100%.

Well, the background is some trees in the Forest Sector. Over that is Aelita's face. I used a Miss M brush (ooh, I forgot I needed to credit her ...) to erase the sides of her face and gradient them into transparency.
Then there's the XANA image. A huge XANA symbol was the ground -- That's the loops heading to the edge of the banenr. A second XANA symbol floated in midair. That became the mark on her forehead.
I used another Miss M brush (Ultimate Spin) as an eraser and created the criss-crossing lines on the lower-right hand corner and on the left edge.

Finally, I used the font Antaviana, 72pt white, Soft Light Blending Mode and 100% opacity to write 'code lyoko'.

Six layers all told. Image took, like, half an hour. I'm working on another one right now.

I avoid filters whenever possible. The only one I ever use is 'Gaussian Blue' ... Actually, now that I think about it, I use Gaussian Blur on every image I make ... (Originally I had a dropshadow behind 'code lyoko' but I decided not to use it)

Oh geez, I am ADDICTED to gaussian blur. It's so useful for making things look all fuzzy and romantic. But I'm a filter junkie in general, so a lot of my graphics use them. And patterns, too. I like to make my own.

No, I'm just a sixeen (almost seventeen ) year old girl who spends way too much time doing graphic design.
I'm actually going to go into Library Science with an associate's degree in Biblical Exegesis. I like words.
