Dislocated my knee. Again.

Postby . » Fri Apr 21, 2006 9:11 pm

Well I dislocated my left knee for the 2 time. It was around the same time last year I did it as well (and I figure next month the right will give out because I'm babying the right)

All right this is becoming a serious problem for me. I want to be a wrestler, but so long as this keep haunting me I'm not going to be able too. I've been told it's most likely because of my ligament and me still growing or something. It's probbly a combination of that and all the jumping around I do.

Now I'm not afraid of it happening again, because I now know I can pop it back in. But yeah, I really rather NOT have this happen to me again. So does anyone know of any good quality knee supporters?

I can't honestly say I know of any. Try taking a really long break from jumping around. Do balance exercises and really work out your legs. That should both keep you from falling in the future and dislocating it again, and also strenghthen the muscles around your knees so it's less likely to happen again.

Aye my legs are probbly the strongest part of my body, cause I work them so much for this reason. I acutally think the reasoning has to do that I turned up the resistence on a few of the machines by alot and my legs where sore. Plus despite that soreness, I was still jumping around alot and ignoring it. Gusse the muscle where to weak to handle the sharp turns.

I know. Sometimes it is good to keep going even if it is still soar. It builds tolerance to pain. The problem is it's impossible to know when to keep going despite your soarness or to stop. I think this time you simply drawed the wrong straw.

I'm no expert, but what I would do is bandage it up tight and keep doing what you're doing, using the left leg as close to normal as possible, in hopes that you will someday be able to be spit in the face by Carlito. Or go to TNA and mix it up with AJ Styles. Or go to ROH or CZW and rant about how the other one sucks.

But really, I would bandage it up and use it to your ability.

I suggest mabey going to a physical therapist, if you haven't allready, and look into a leg brace. I had to have those for both of my arms because of a condition where the bone grows faster than the muscles, and it does hurt for the first few weeks, but it's really worth it. It's a good way to let your knee heal and streingthen it up.
