Just because you don't have good grades doesn't mean you shouldn't use the computer! I mean, mabey you're a secret genious but you don't know it and you have the learning ability of a kid in college, so you're just being held back! that's what happened with me!

That's a ridiculous punishment. That's like... stupid. I think that you should try really hard get all your grades up the best you can, act like an angel to your mother, do all your chores, clean the house, and be very good, and then slowly kind of ease back into the idea of going back on the computer. Like say, "mom, i cleaned the house last week remember? and i do my chores all nice. and my grades are good. and i want to get back on the computer. can i mommy? please? i love you!" that's what i always do. I always wait like... 2 weeks first though before I ask for computer priveledges back.

I can't have opposing political veiws or opinions or anyting otherwise I'm like grounded for it. We got into a fight yesterday because she was getting mad at me for wanting to marry outside of my race.

Wow, your mom and my mom should get together and party or something. They would probably get alone VERY well since they are exactly the same in their punishing methods, and in the way that we disagree with their opinions. I NEVER say what I think about politics to my mom because she will yell at me or she would just ignore it. But, she's in no way racist, so she wouldn't care if I wanted to marry someone who wasn't white. But I wouldn't be talking about that until I'm like 20 so... I still have like 6 years to go.

Aww... that really sucks about your mom, and the punishment you're getting. :/ This seems to be a growing problem with... well, society today (IMO, anyway). The media makes it sound like if you let your kid get online, they WILL get raped and murdered, which is total BS if you ask me. You always hear about the kids that have that happen to them... not the ones that are doing really amazing stuff online, with graphics/websites/etc (my ex-boyfriend and I had a HUGE rant about that) and, of course, those that wind up meeting people they met online but everything was okay *coughLinii-chan*.

That aside, I know this probably sounds silly, but you should try to appreciate the fact that your mom is just doing this because she loves you and wants you to be safe (even if she's going a little too far). She wouldn't do this just to torture you or something.
