-The gym class would actually be in a GYM. And Jim would be really mean. And like. Have a whistle. That he blows at people.
-Decrease the romance 50%, double the action. Shippers from all creeds (UxY, JxA, AxO, OxU..) would suffer. D:
-The supercomputer would be a lot less cool. And there'd be tons more "matrix code". Not to mention "Matrix moves" to the umpteenth power on Lyoko.
-There'd be a lot more.. diversity... (Yumi=Japanese, Ulrich=Latino, Odd=Black, Jeremie=Native American, and Aelita... well, Aelita would probably be a robot or something. xD)
-The plot would go wayyy too deep and they'd add in so many characters and throw everything together so quickly and make like 50 movies and games, that it would suffer the same confusing fate as Pokemon. o___o

There is one really big plus that I know would happen. They wouldn't reuse the same animations over and over and over and over and over again like they do. But, then again, that's probably one of the ONLY good things that would happen.

Instead of just setting it's own pace and style, the show would make a painfull effort to be 'hip yo!' - and end up like 'Da Boom Crew' aka, derivative and awful.

It would be more of a comedy show, which would detract from the Lyoko action

Continuing the last one, there would be millions of references to pop culture.

Somebody said earlier that they would be more ethnically diverse... I agree, and I think rather than being Japanese, Yumi would probably be Latina. I also think they would be from different parts of the country... I can kind of see Ulrich coming from the Bronx (and playing baseball)


On the plus side, everything would be more colorful- not so much dull yellow green and well, dull everything else.

I prefer my name for it: Da F**king Boom Crew. In Britain, it shows after the 10.30am showing of CL. I hate that show. That drivel of west Coast jibe is SO inferior to the elegant French flair of CL. Its animation is crud. But I bet you, some sad person out there thinks the opposite. But we know the better. Rant over.

Da Boom Crew is a fairly generic cartoon about four orphaned west-coast kids who create their own video-game to amuse themselves. One day a supernatural vortex shoots them into a reality that looks just like their game levels and follows the same 'game-play principles' The show covers their battles against main villain Zorch.

The animation is so-so but like I said, generic - it doesn't stand out like CL does with it's unique characters and beautifully rendered settings.

Secondly, it relies on 'magic' unlike CL which I always thought was grounded firmly in reality and was all the better for it.

Thirdly the show tries to tie into 'hip' culture instead of setting it's own trend like CL - i.e. a rap opening song ("This ain't no video-game, this is real!") and black characters who talk and act and sound like stereotypical people from 'the hood' - no offence but this really rubs me up the wrong way - why can't black people in kids TV just be shown like Tamiya i.e. normal rounded characters and not just for PC or as 'token black guys'
