Hey! Nobody beats the crap out of Jim! Well...almost nobody.

Didn't you know he used to be an assassin?

Well, I, uh...don't want to talk about it.

I mean I COULD tell you about it, but then I'd have to...resort to an overused, cliche joke that was funny about about 25 years ago but now is just sad.

Hehe, this is really bringing back an old thread, but I found some info on Wikipedia and wanted to post it in the most appropriate thread.

"Corporal Jim Morales, 7th Engineering Battalion, #92121 Sir!"

Now this line has become a bit of a legend but I'd be very interested in knowing what the original French dialogue said as there is no 7th Engineering Battalion in the French armed forces, only in the United States Marine Corps, and I somehow doubt that 'US Marine' appears on Jim's resume! ;)

So, going through Wikipedia Jim could possibly have been:

A Corporal in the 19th Engineering Regiment, attatched to the 7th Armoured Brigade and in based in Besancon, Eastern France.

or...

A Firefighter in Paris - the Paris Fire Brigade is actually a branch of the Army Engineering Corps, and it has a 7th Fire Company based in North-East Paris, relatively near to Kadic. This might also explain how Jim got so confused with the warrant officer's rank if he was not ever a combat solider in the actual army - also the Fire Brigade is commanded by a General, possibly tying to Jim absent-mindly barking 'Yes sir General Delmas sir!'.

Just a thought...heck I'm probably very wrong but I thought people might find it interesting.

Been looking at this topic. Very interesting...

Who ya gonna call!

Hmm...Jim + High Energy Nuclear Accelerators = Interesting Revelation for Jeremie;

Jeremie: Agh! The STM is busted! I can't fix a exertanium-based proton projector!

(Jim walks by - what he's doing in the lab - he went for the morning paper and got lost)

Jim: Oh it's simple - all you need is a degree in Quantum Physics and a screwdriver. I'll go get my old proton pack and we'll strip that for parts.

Jeremie: O.O

This actually might be the plot for Revelation. :D

See, guys, Told ya he'd be a big help to Jeremie and the others. Since he's always in awe at the equipment, he can maybe fix the, say, scanners in the event that they malfunction. ;)

I also wanna point out to David that, in order to join a group, you have to gain their everlasting trust. They trusted Jim in the last two episodes of S1, but then lost his trust, probably temporarily, in "Final Mix" when Jimbo-chan was possessed by XANA. In the Teen Titans episode "Titan Rising", for example...

...they had to gain Terra's trust after she ran away from the Tower in "Terra". Then they made her a Titan.

That said, David and everyone, I feel that Jeremie has to first regain Jim's trust.

One day Moonscop must make an entire episode dedicated to Jim and his past.

Probbly the most funny character on the show is Jimbo

Could this be the start of a true sequel to "Let's Talk Tech", "Let's Chat Characters"?

Anyway, nice idea.

I dunno, but personally, I think you guys are reading WAY too into this. I don't think Jim is some sort of Omnipotent repairman of Lyoko, heck I don't even think he KNOWS about it. He's just the odd job man.

Also, TB3, you never know, he Could've been a Marine. After all, weirder things have happened.

Yeah but then he'd have to be a US Citizen.

What's keeping him from being that? I know people who are citizens of more than one country.
