Okay, so technically this isn't about Code Lyoko fic, but I thought you ff.net authors would enjoy it like I did.

I kind of agree with what emogyrlskyttlez said though, about keeping everyone with the sexual preferences given to them by the series creator. Otherwise it is hard to keep everyone in character.

Indeed. I think it's interesting to mess around with non-canon pairings, whether that be homosexual or not. But I see all these HORRIBLE Code Lyoko fics where like (for example) Jeremie and Ulrich are sitting around and then one of them's like, 'hey, wanna make out??' and the other one is like, 'sure!!!'

The quality of any kind of fictional work, not just fanfic but movies and stories and that kind of thing too is all based on opinion. You might open the paper if you're looking for a movie to go see and base whether or not you actually want to go see it on the reviews it got.

Badfic is often deemed as such when it's obviously just .... horrible. While other undeveloped authors might consider it good, those who actually know their stuff will always agree that it sucks.

Another kind of badfic is created by trolls; trolls, are, for those of you that don't know, people with lots of time on their hands who go around looking for communities in favor of something they don't like and join just to flame other members/spam/just be generally annoying. Sometimes trolls write badfic for fandoms just to annoy people.

Technically yes...yet don't forget...there are standards...and a lot of people choose to rape those standards...those are the badfics writters...the dudes (and dudettes) that write without expecting criticism nor aknowledging it...the one's that feel that their "art" is complete...yet it's nothing compared to those that try to better themselves...they also write as if a weasel was biting on their armpits...and can create plots as deep and thougth provoking as Ultimate Soldier III...still there are good fics that can be considered "bad fics" those are up for discussion though...
