ME! 8D

Hmm, maybe European countries are secretly Erynnist. So they have an irrational fear of XANA-related holidays like we do. :O~ (...By "we" I mean Lani, me, and our crack-job friends who listen to the craziness that comes out of our mouths. xD)

Or... maybe the computers will crash, and the Son of the Millenium Bug will rise from the depths of the Mediterranean and SCATHE the land from Greece to Britain with SEARING HELLFIRE the likes of which has not been seen since the days of the ancient ones!!!!!!!!! D<<<<!!

xD;;; *cough* I like muffins.

*Reads YDV post* Yes well....*cough* That is something to think about. Maybe the computers will just be on the flip for the day. I really don't care for this day even though I have to go to a fair that night and sing with a group.

I like muffins too

Good Mooooorning world!

It is now 7:04 EST, June 6, 2006. So far, the world has not been destroyed.

Today, the remake of "The Omen" is released. Several heavy metal bands have a lil party. Agent_Marquez updates "Requiem" and "Party Bash".

It is also...the 62nd anniversary of D-day, when Allied troops invaded Normandy, France. Consequently, it is also the day, in Code: Lyoko news, twelve years ago, that Franz Hopper repeated for seven years in order to complete Lyoko and XANA. And on that same day, XANA rebelled, trapping Aelita and Franzy. So you could say it's XANA-chan's 12th birthday today. Or 19th, depending on how you see it. (Hah...little guy is the most evil presence on earth and he can't even get into BKO)

At 8:30 EST, I go up to the U.S. Capitol. I just read in the newspaper that there's going to be some sort of rally in front of the White House. And, my teacher told us yesterday that today, the Senate's going to be voting on whether or not to make gay marriage illegal, as a Constitutional amendment, and while she thought that it was the wrong issue to concentrate on right now, she thought it would be just SMASHING to go sit in on it.

I hope she doesn't find out about the rally.

So, good morning, and have a lovely day. *Gack*

Roflcopters. Nothing's gonna happen. Except Lani wears her Yumi costume in WHAT degree weather today? *dies*

Today I have an extra orchestra rehearsal at school and I have yet to do my math homework.

Yep. Nothing's gonna happen. 8D

Ohyes, Carth, you enter Lani Territory when I have my first class. Roflcopters.

If Franz Hopper had not gone to Lyoko 12 years ago, Aelita would be 24 (and would make most of the guys here VERY happy!). That is quite hilarious.

If Franzy had not made XANA, then XANA would not exist. And I wouldn't be happy.

I just got this off Yahoo

------------------------------

Today is Tuesday, June 6, the 157th day of 2006. There are 208 days left in the year.

Today's Highlight in History:

On June 6, 1944, the "D-Day" invasion of Europe took place during World War II as Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, France.

Today's Highlights in Fiction (added by TB3):

On June 6th, 1994, Scientist Franz Hopper utilises Time Travel to stretch 24 hours into seven years, allowing him to create the Virtual Reality Lyoko, and subsequently virtualises himself and his daughter, Aelita, to it in flight from government agents. For further details see 'Code: Lyoko'

On June 6th, 2001, Shinji Ikari of 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' is born to Yui and Gendo Ikari.

On this date:

In 1606, French dramatist Pierre Corneille was born in Rouen.

In 1844, the Young Men's Christian Association was founded in London

In 1918, the World War I Battle of Belleau Wood, which resulted in a U.S. victory over the Germans, began in France.

In 1925, Walter Percy Chrysler founded the Chrysler Corp.

In 1934, the Securities and Exchange Commission was established.

In 1942, Japanese forces retreated in the World War II Battle of Midway.

In 1966, black activist James Meredith was shot and wounded as he walked along a Mississippi highway to encourage black voter registration.

In 1968, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, a day after he was shot by Sirhan Bishara Sirhan.

In 1978, California voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition 13, a primary ballot initiative calling for major cuts in property taxes.

In 1985, authorities in Brazil exhumed a body later identified as the remains of Dr. Josef Mengele, the notorious "Angel of Death" of the Nazi Holocaust.

Ten years ago: The Senate narrowly rejected a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution as outgoing Majority Leader Bob Dole and the Democrats clashed over deficit reduction. A family of four became the first persons to leave the Freemen ranch in Montana since April.

Five years ago: Democrats formally assumed control of the U.S. Senate; the unprecedented shift in power came about after the decision of Vermont Republican James Jeffords to become an independent. A jury in Los Angeles awarded more than $3 billion to lifelong smoker Richard Boeken, deciding that tobacco giant Philip Morris was responsible for his incurable lung cancer. (The jury award was reduced by a Superior Court judge to $100 million, then cut to $50 million by an appeals court; the U.S. Supreme Court refused in March 2006 to consider tossing out the award altogether; Boeken died in 2002.)

One year ago: The Supreme Court ruled 6-to-3 that people who smoke marijuana because their doctors recommend it to ease pain can be prosecuted for violating federal drug laws. A judge upheld Democratic Gov. Christine Gregoire's victory — by 129 votes — in Washington state's 2004 election. Actor Russell Crowe was arrested for throwing a phone that hit a hotel employee in New York City; he later pleaded guilty to third-degree assault. Death claimed actress Anne Bancroft at age 73 and actor Dana Elcar at age 77.

Today's Birthdays: Actress Billie Whitelaw is 74. Civil rights activist Roy Innis is 72. Singer Levi Stubbs (The Four Tops) is 70. Singer-songwriter Gary "U.S." Bonds is 67. Country singer Joe Stampley is 63. Actor Robert Englund is 57. Folk singer Holly Near is 57. Singer Dwight Twilley is 55. Playwright-actor Harvey Fierstein is 52. Comedian Sandra Bernhard is 51. Tennis player Bjorn Borg is 50. Actress Amanda Pays is 47. Comedian Colin Quinn is 47. Record producer Jimmy Jam is 47. Rock musician Steve Vai is 46. Actor Jason Isaacs is 43. Rock musician Sean Yseult (White Zombie) is 40. Actor Max Casella is 39. Actor Paul Giamatti is 39. Rhythm-and-blues singer Damion Hall (Guy) is 38. Rock musician Bardi Martin is 37. Rock musician James "Munky" Shaffer (Korn) is 36. Country singer Lisa Brokop is 33. Rapper-rocker Uncle Kracker is 32. Actress Staci Keanan is 31.

Thought for Today: "To win without risk is to triumph without glory." — Pierre Corneille, French dramatist (1606-1684).

------------------------------

That last extract I think, sums up what June 6th means to us Lyokofreaks, fitting that it came from a Frenchman. :)

only 111 more to go! xD;

DUDE. We're like. EVERYWHERE. o__o I looked up June 6th on Wikipedia, and it mentioned CL. And I'm like dude xD;; Cuz I was gonna add that.

And apparently Billy Preston died today. It's scary how the Wiki people know that. o___o

It's also National Yo-yo Day. xD;

OH YEAH. Y'know all those crazy "numerologist" people on TV who are like "well, since 6/6/6 adds up to 18, which is a good financial number and stands for international peace..."? Well I made a numerological conclusion!

See, considering that Max August Zorn, a German mathematician was born 6/6/1906, and Pierre Cornielle, a French dramatist, was born on 6/6/1606, that means that either Germany or France will declare war on the etire planet. But probably France, since 1606 has more... 6's.

I could SO get a degree in Numerology. 8)

...xD;;

Well, June 6th 2006 has just ended for me - and so, as I crack open a beer I propose a toast!

To Franz Hopper - a man driven by love and passion, driven to make the ultimate sacrifice to create a world without danger - to his creation, Lyoko, and it's guardians and their extended family of friends.

Aelita, Jeremie, Ulrich, Yumi, Odd, Sissi, Jim, William, Milly, Tamiya and all the rest - may you continue to grace our lives and hearts with your adventures in the next year and beyond.

I just came back from seeing it. The remake sucked, but it was funny at times.

Requiem got updated. And soon the Party Bash, which ending isn't happy.
