Lost Memories

This is the flip side, a sort of reverse feeling that followed what happened in my second rant, "A Multi-Cultural Clash."

A few days ago, I started looking at my photos from when I lived in Japan many years ago. I couldn't remember anything from those photos.

There was a photo where I was sitting on a bench with two other kids: a boy and a girl. I had no idea who they were. All I knew was that they were my best friends at that time, and that I'd completely forgotten them. They say you can never truly forget your friends, but apparently I did.

There were thirty kids in my preschool class, and I'd forgotten them all, except a girl named Nozomi. (My favorite things back then were electric trains (Shinkansen), and Nozomi was the name of a very famous shinkansen.) And I still have no idea what she looked like or how she acted.

There was also my preschool teacher. I found in a photo album a goodbye note from her, which mentioned something about going to America (which is how I know it was a goodbye note). I have no idea what it said.

I realize that this is shorter than my other rants, but then again, they were too long.

Sorry Ive never been to japan but I know how you are feeling

I had a freind that lived next door for 7 years. we were the best of freinds even though he was 1.5 years younger than me. he moved away about 7 years ago (when I was ten) and the only thing I remember was that I gave him a 50cc Dirtbike for a going away present and that I have never seen him again. I dont even remember his name.
Sorry didnt mean to put my rant in here but I just thought that it would make you feel beter to know that someone understands what you are going through.

It is possible to forget memories, why else do some people bother to carefully write down every little thing, or take a picture of everything they do. It is so they don't forget. I sympathize though, because I have lost many memmories as well, but at the same time I never really take the care to take tons of pictures. As we get older and make more memmories, some get pushed out or away to the side. Anyway, I think that had a point I just hope that you are eventually able to remember with some deep thought or some other things you havent found you may have had that trigger the memmories.
