Just an advisory-type rant...

Postby Stonecreek » Mon Jul 10, 2006 11:18 am

I generally dislike the Rant forum; however, I need to vent. Difference is, I have a positive purpose. But this isn't a positive rant, so it's not going there. Now that I'm done explaining/justifying the rant...

I just got my first job out of college last week (which was why I wasn't on since the 3rd of July). However, they deceived me into thinking I was getting a different job. They stuck me in door-to-door sales! I stuck around for a week, hoping they made a mistake, all the while running my feet absolutely raw. When Saturday rolled around, I could not walk when I got out of bed. So I decided I had had enough. I went in and quit this morning and am now job hunting again. Kids (and kids-at-heart), don't get swindled and get hired into a horrendous job.

It's all very scientifical. |D

good going Stonecreek...seriously, if you dont like the job, there are plenty more out there, and with your degree, you should be able to find something that suits you better than what they stuck you with...You will be ok...its not like the first job has to be your final job..keep searching, you will find something that makes you happy.

Door to door salesmen. Yep. Can see where that job really can annoy you.

and plus, not many people like D2D salesmen because of the bad image that was left years ago...like I said, you will definitely find something better that suits you and will make you completely happy, you just have to keep searching till you find it. ;)

... door to door sales? Wow, they ripped you off bad. Good on ya for quitting- it's the thing with businesses these days, being misleading and whatnot for money. And I personally don't like those kind of salesmen. I attacked one with a watering can once, but that's another story.

I'm sure you'll find another job, Stonecreek. One that fits. Good luck with it.

Yeah, no person attacked me, but there was this dog that had it out for me...

Anyway, thanks for the comments. I shall continue hunting...NOW!
