The best enemy of men... the machines, our own creations it's the classic men v/s machine, or if you prefer human against is own creation. Part of science-fiction sense long ago, just remind "Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus", where a doctor obsessed with the idea of create artificial life make a monster with pieces of human bodies.
We are all here fans of a series who is main villain is in fact an evil artificial intelligence who try to kill as, so why not comparing him/her with others famous artificial beings created by science-fiction, and from the hand of the same science-fiction become enemies of humans? I put some of the most popular in the poll, but there maybe other AIs as good of the ones in the poll that I don't include, if you wan to talk about them it's OK for me, the reason of this topic it's for you can discuss with good opinions witch one is, was or still be the best enemy of men...

In the game series "Megaman Battle Network," There's a character known as Bass. he was the first of his kind, is an AI, and now tries to hunt down all humans because of a misunderstanding that lead to his near-deletion. On cyberspace, he's way more powerful then XANA, but he has much less influence in the Real world.

I think the D-reaper (however it's spelled) was a pretty good one... basically, anything that can be threatening as a giant red blob *and* permanently traumatize kids is good with me.
I voted for VIKI, though. I love I, Robot, and she's a chick, so she's instantly got more class than X.A.N.A.

Arg.... VIKI and Skynet were both pretty... disturbingly dangerous..... but XANA sorta takes the cake. I mean. He can take over ANY electrical device. ANYTHING. And make it do his bidding. And I think he might be a bit more advanced too.... plus he actually shows malice. As in, he tries to kill people ON PURPOSE. VIKI's killing was just a result of 'bad logic,' and I don't remember Skynet well enough.....
Anyway. xD I KNOW! VIKI is a chick. Wouldn't she and XANA make an awesome couple? I mean really. xD
