Mako Iwamatsu, A truly great man who will be missed.

My fellow LyokoFreaks, I am terribly saddened to report that Mako, voice of Uncle Iroh and so much more, passed away on Friday. He died at age 72, from esophageal cancer. He was an amazing and inspirational person, and will be greatly missed. You can read more about him in the LA Times article. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers...

THE VA. FOR. UNCLE IROH. DIED?! NO!! omg. That's really sad! For one I liked his voice, and Iroh is like... awesome! I'd adopt him as my uncle if he was real xD; Gosh... I might cry.

I don't really know much about the guy otherwise though... hmm.

He was a great man he in dead was a good person.He was a good person.Died a bad way but without him there should be no avatar the last airbender because with out him than there is nothing truely good.Sure we will still have the charater but never the same voice never. :no:

A sad day - I only ever saw Mako in two movies, 'Ace Ventura 2' and 'Pearl Harbor', and as Aku in 'Samurai Jack', but from what I saw he was a gifted actor with talent and grace. Rest in Peace.

Any replacement they get for him will never be as good. Unless they just decide to cut Iroh altogether...and that would just ruin the show.

Yeah, I heard about that. We'll all miss him... But at least he lived a long life. It's a shame that he died of something that could've been avoided through treatment, though...

The The Fury of Aang so-called "movie" (it was really just two episodes played together as one) on Nick was the most recent new pisode he was in.

Hmm... so I guess we'll all see what happens to Uncle Airo next. Maybe they'll get some temporary guy in that one movie about the fire nation's secret and then Uncle Airo will... die... get killed... something. ;__;

Actually I think they have already recorded all the season 2 episodes, so Iroh's voice should remain intact until season 3.
