Ah, sadly that story has never been released, though I have used part of it as part of my Creative Writing Portfoilo for university.

Okay, here's the character breif I have for Odd's family, as depicted in the story.

Matthew Della-Robua - General in the French Armed Forces - prior to 1994 Matt was assigned as part of base security at the enigmatic Project Carthage - rumor among the staff was that Matt was a close friend to Franz Hopper (Godfather to Franz's daughter would you believe) and helped engineer the escape.

True or not, Matt has had a history of bending the rules - while assigned as a representative of the French Army with the Canadian Armed Forces in French-Quebec, Matt went AWOL after falling in love with a young woman he had met, Penny - their shotgun marriage was interupted by Armed MPs entering the church but Matt was not dismissed from the Army, only disciplined severly.

Penny gave birth to their first child (Odd) shortly after the family returned to France, she herself having applied for citizenship. The family moved around frequently as Matt was posted to different bases, and when their son reached 13 they sent him to Kadic to give his life a bit more stability.

Matt was once a saxophonist in his regiment's band (and was friends with the band's trombonist, Corporal James 'Jimbo' Morales), and still plays frequently - Penny, an expressionist painter, occasionally goes on tours with her work - despite often being apart, the family is close and loving. Matt himself is energetic and fun-loving, sharing his son's penchant for food - in the years since Project Carthage Matt has also climbed the ladder substantially, now with the rank of General.

His duties are classified, but he is most often posted as Military Consultant and Representative for tech development projects - his most recent post was spearheading the development of the Starway Satalite Comunications/Weapons Network - that done, he's returned to Paris to catch up with his son, and also to take up his new posting at Confederated Computers, a company taking up the reins that Project Carthage threw down 12 years ago.

^^ My apologies to both TB3 and Taelia for commandeering and slightly changing the topic of this thread, but I have just found likely official information on the statistics of Odd's family. I got this from LyokoCode, but I believe that they got this information as a code extra from the French CL.com. I'm not 100% sure on that, but anyway, without me blathering on more about it, here is what I found in its original French:

"Ma mère est toujours quelque part dans le monde sur un tournage (elle est costumière) et mon père est ailleurs en train de faire le guignol sur une scène d'opéra (il est chanteur lyrique). Celles que je vois le plus, ce sont mes cinq soeurs : Pauline, Elisabeth, Marie, Adèle et Louise. Pauline, c'est la plus petite. A moins que ce ne soit Adèle... heu... j'en sais plus rien. Quand je rentre à la maison, elles s'occupent un peu de moi. Elles m'appellent "petite crotte", "têtard mouillé" ou "simplet" et elles me donnent des tas d'ordres idiots."

Now, from what I can gather from this, both of Odd's parents travel around the world alot and that (like Ulrich) he doesn't see them alot (which explains why he attends a boarding school). His mom appears to be either a fashion model or a fashion designer (both of which totally explain Odd's...unique sense of wardrobe), and his dad works in an Opera company as a puppet voice actor of some sort (his dad's a VA...too cool ^.^ ).

What's even more interesting is that apparently, he has 5 sisters (I love the irony in that...) who's names are given in the text. Even more intriguing is that whenever he does visit home, his sisters bug him and call him names, among which would be, "Simpleton" (I cannot list the translations of the others...they're too funny...Babelfish will tell you all ^^ ). This kind of explains even moreso why he's not too fond of Sissi (at least not through season 1 and through most of season 2).


Now, since I haven't got a screenshot of this from any CL.com site, it is still plausible that this is not official info...however, I seem to recall getting an English version of the Ulrich Journal Entry (which can also be read at LyokoCode ) on CL.com as a prize for using a code, so it's likely the others are all CL.com things as well.

It's rather intriguing information nonetheless though.

I'm not sure if his dad is strict like Ulrich's is...from the way his journal sounded, it just seems as if he's never home (or always away). If his dad was strict or something, the journal probably would have touched on it, but then again, maybe not. It's a possibility, to be sure. ^_^

How do you know that for sure? I mean at this point of course nothing's certain, but we've got to take what we've got, right? After all LyokoCode's pretty good with keeping most conjecture to a minimum (Like, they'll explicitly say 'this is just an idea' or it's fan stuff or something) and we don't know how much is being released to France and not the US...

Anyway. xD; THAT'S AWESOME! Muahaha. The 5 sisters thing definitely fits right in with Odd, and so does his mom being fashion model. Although... I still did kinda like the idea of his dad being in the military... to be honest the puppet VA thing is kinda weak. I dunno.
