Laziness

If you guessed that I am lazy then you are correct.

I am lazy.

That pretty much is this rant all in one sentence.

No matter what comes up I can't seem to get motivated to do anything that requires hard work and effort. When I had homework back in the schoolyear I always procrastinate on it like "I'll do it later" or "the teacher probably won't check it today" (In my high school the teachers usually check the homework as opposed to collecting it, if they collect it they'll announce it the previous day). Although this behavior has gotten me through 7th grade to where I am now it will definitely not get me through college(Assuming I do go to college). I am quite worried as to what I should do to get myself motivated.

How about another thing thats actually a little ironic. Instead of me being fat like a stereotypical lazy person because I eat too much, I'm actually a little skinny because sometimes I don't bother to eat, and when I do eat I sometimes eat in very large amounts (for example: I ate an entire large cheese pizza last friday).

If you're going to say something loud like "GET OFF YOUR LAZY A** AND WORK!" it may help because I've never been yelled at before by someone (with the exception of my parents and brothers) and that might work. But that just may fall under the catagory of flaming. I'm not sure though.

The odd thing is that I'm managing fine (I only got one F in my last report card and 2 D'd, the rest were split between B's and C's).

I'm pretty much asking for goods ways to help motivate me.

Here is something to get you motivated...

the good grades you will get from doing the work will get you a higher paying job say that you are making 50,000 a year..better than just 20,000 or less on normal wages.

that should be motivation for you.. :D

HAHAHA FLAME! GET OFF YOUR LAZY- *shot*

Sorry. Couldn't resist. Laziness issues are definitely my category. Try taking up a really, really, really physcial hobby, maybe? Or go out with your friends every now and then. It's pretty ok to be lazy during summer break, but you sound pretty worried about this. I can't say much, so possibly go for the 2nd one. Helped me a lot, although I came home with sore heels. Dang Converse.

set yourself a daily active routine, and that way you will get into the swing of doing things every day...make a schedule if you have to...trust me, it works. :)

If you're lazy, then there's almost no cure. I'm lazy and I procrastinate on everything; even things I've been really looking forward to doing, such as updating my website.

Anyhow, during the last few weeks of seventh grade for me, my grandparents came over so there would be no way of me procrastinating without being caught.

Two D's and one F? Wow... I was grounded for over half a year for getting a B+...

I stopped procrastinating just a little bit because my parents said that if I get straight A's, I would be rewarded with an iPod. Try giving yourself a reward or something... Or, use my parents' method and scare the crap out of yourself.

The atmosphere around you can be a cause for laziness. If it is rather hot in your room, try turning on the fan or A/C or moving to a cooler environment. That'll lelp at least a bit.
