DILEMMA D:

Postby Lani » Wed Aug 09, 2006 1:01 am

Just as a foreward warning, I'm just whining. ^^; So uh, if you can't stand whining then shoo shoo.

GAHHH. I want to study abroad so badlyyyyy osdhoidhgsiodhs. Although I've reached a point where I want to do both France and Japan. The France program I would do (since I don't speak it) would be a month long program in the summer for next year, in which I would party because I'm learning the language. The Japan program I would do would be a fall semester of my Junior year; I would leave on the 28th of August in '07 then come back the 26th of January in '08...

GRR. See I really want to go to France cause I really wanna learn French, then like <s>walk down the Seine river and say hay sup to demolished factories</s> eat cool food and stuff. And sightsee and see pretty things.

THEN. I really want to go to Japan cause Japan is total win and I've wanted to wear a real schoolgirl uniform for like my entire life. And like I'm becoming more confident with my skillz in the language and I think it'd be really great to live there for a while...

I could apply for both and see which one I get accepted for. But then what if I get accepted for BOTH?? D: I will cry. I'll cry even more if I don't get accepted for either.

Ohhhhhlsdkhfisdfhsd.

Thus ends my rant.

I feel better now. xD; *runs off to try to contemplate*

The Sweden option is a joke or it's also a serious option? Just asking...

Anyways, it's your life... and if I were in your position, I'd probably go to France (as in possibilities of understanding the language faster, CL stuff, French football league, art, fashion, nightlife, etc.)... but being yourself, Japan would be the option. Any option is life-changing experience, though.

I have no idea either xD;; Cuz I'm like in your same predicament except I don't have the option of going to Japan. The thing is I know the argument my parents would bring up is "You're in Spanish class, why do you want to learn French?!"... >>; But yeah this is about you not me xD

I DUNNO. Japan would be like. Something you'd remember for the rest of your life. But so would France. And if you were gone a whole semester I'd like die o___O;

I feel slightly disappointed in myself for learning Spanish, because I want to see Italy so badly and I want to learn Italian more than ever. But my Spanish teacher last year loved me and just because of ME got an Honors Spanish program created for Sophomores, so I'd feel like crap if I quit it. D:

But this isn't about me. This just reminded me of that. Sorry. ^^;

Anyway. I'm not sure which here, since you seem to love both languages. But I think you should go to Japan. Because you're already confident in that language, and therefore you will get more out of living there for a semester as opposed to France where you will still be in the learning stages and won't be there as long. And, I don't know for sure so don't think I'm judging you or anything but a lot of your desire to go to France seems to coincide with your love for CL, which, no offense, is just silly. You seem to truly admire so much more about Japan so that seems to be the right choice.

But, as Rodri said, no matter which you choose it will change your life and be an unbelievable experience.

I say apply for both and go for whichever accepts you. If both accept, go to Japan.

Ultimately, follow your heart. <3

The Japan one sounds cooler to me. I would go with the Japan one because I heard French have really bad higene.
I liked that one plan you had to apply for both of them and see which one you get accepted into. If you should get accepted into both of them, why not have your parents decide for you? If you don't get accepted into either of them, I don't think it's that big of a deal either. Just figure out what you did wrong if you did anything wrong (meaning they may have filled up before you got your applications in) and try harder next time.
Those are my suggestions.

And certain Americans have really bad spelling. ;) No offense.

I say go to French studying because then you could do all that stuff that you crossed out. XD
thank you all for the good memories <3
