I don't think that's what's going on either... Since Sissi got humanized, she's stopped doing really ridiculous things to get Ulrich's attention (well, mostly), and I don't think she would ruin her tentative friendship with Odd just for some silly stunt that she probably knows by now wouldn't work.

Maybe Ulrich said he'd pay her, or maybe things got "Finally Fun" (OxS fanfic- read it, now) and she's "dating" Odd and trying to add some credibility to her claim... although that falls under "make Ulrich jealous", but still.

And Skysong, with all due respect, Odd and Sissi really dont have a friendship as of now. On the season fanale, he was just as mean to her as he ever was.

Does anyone else (besides me) think that OxS becoming canon would diminish their liking of the pairing? I happen to really like the pairing because it is non-canon, and thus having a wide open playing field to deal with. If it were canon, it would take the fun out of the hypothesizing we do around here. Anyone else want to concur or dissent?

My biggest fear about the pairing is that it will be swamped by N00bs, just like the idiots who spam FF.net with UXY and JXA.

Anyways, the fics written by those who supported it before it became cannon will still probably be the most vocal supporters, probably because we have since the begining (or at least before it became cannon and not because we jumped on the bandwagon)

Well, seeing as I *still* get reviews crying "Like the fic but hate the pairing", I think canon would help. Sure, we risk getting n00bs, but still, at least it wouldn't be "teh ebil!" anymore. Also, we'd have more to latch onto than speculation. No more "Odd and Sissi? Pfft! Like that'd ever happen!"

Besides, disliking something because it's canon is just plain silly. That's what AUs are for. Anyway, it doesn't look like they're really hooking up in that pic- there's something going on behind it. I do admit that if it ended being like UxY I'd probably want to stab myself for championing it, but there *are* some really good UxY fics out there. Sure, it means having to dig, but hello. There'd be selection, as opposed to a handfull.

...also, I'd risk a bazillion badfics for that one moment where I can jump up and down, point at the screen, and yell, "YOU SEE?!"

Even if it is blackmail, I know from experience in reading and in other literature scources that blackmail of the type that it appears to be (if that's what it truly is) always backfires and results in *Ahem* romantic tension.

I, personally, wouldn't really like it if the pairong became canon. Why? Because then we will get a lot of n00bs starting to ship the pairing with really bad fanfiction which would result in finding good OddSissi stories being just as hard as finding good UlrichYumi stories. Which, by the way, is quite hard to do.

And instead of having only a couple of people come in and say "ODDXSISSIY IS TEH EBOL!!111" we will have a ton of people come in and say "OMGZ!!!!111 ODDXSISSY 4-EVAAAAA!!!!!111 I LUV DIS PAIRING!!!!1111ONE". While we can easily prove the bashers wrong which would result in them shutting up, the most we could do on the "I blindly follow what I like" people is tell them to correct their grammer and spelling.

So thats my thoughts on what may happen if the pairing becomes canon.
