How many of you hate deviantART's new design. It is SO ugly! :cussout:

... (no comment)

I found the older one easier to navigate, but I can get used to the new one.

Looks more fresh, not that "old" anymore. Websites can happen to change, to not stick on being the same old thing.

Don't see why this is much of a rant, really.

Eh...I'm kind of...neutral on the new look at the moment. I do wish we had the option of using this layout or the old version, for one though.

My main issues with it are that one has to go to one's front page in order to find the submit button as opposed to being able to access it on any page (this is very troublesome when doing club work). I also don't like that I can't tell what kinds of messages I have and how many of each, whereas in the old layout one could do just that (why this was changed, I have no idea).

Also...certain deviations with preview images have no "full view" so far I can see, which means you have to download whatever it is you're trying to look at to see it's full version and that's just really annoying (and slightly risky if you have a computer that's susceptible to viruses. Again, I can't tell why this was changed as one could full view anything in the old version.

Another problem I have noticed is that there is no "parent" feature for comments anymore (which again, makes no sense to me as it was there before). Now this may not be a big deal for everyone, but I can't always remember what it was a person is replying too in their comments, and the "Parent" link for comments always helped me figure that out. Now that it's gone (at least for the now), one has to click the link to the deviation that is being commented on and replied too...and then scroll through all the comments to find the comment that has been replied too. Sound confusing? Indeed, it is rather...and slightly bothersome.

I've also noticed that one can't "login" from the "logout" page, which could also be done in the old version...this isn't a huge deal, but it does save one an extra click when trying to switch accounts to check club activity. ^^

Ah well...what is one to do though? I don't hate it...but I liked the older one better I think, or at least had fewer problems with it. ^^;

I do like that now I can see all of my devious comments though (including my first ones ^.^ ), and the new look isn't so bad...I just wish they'd kept some of the features they had in the older version.

Perhaps though, if they get enough complaints or petitions for it, the admins will re-add those features or something. :)

-stares at MewB's post and just pulls out random parts to which she agrees-

The look is definitely new, but it seems far too open...like the art is going to fall off the sides of the pages. No defined borders...I mean, granted, I like the "color block" look...but I don't think it works for DA. -shrug-

Mm...the art is much harder to access...and although that little toolbar-type thing on the left (next to deviations) is a clever addition...on occasion it can actually interfere with the artwork. x.x (Has had this happen to her numerous times already)

x.x; Outside of that...they're still having issues with ghost messages...and, unfortunately, their "Remove all" system needs some tweaking. My message box refuses to delete ANYTHING unless I do it in a specific order. -sigh-

-hugs MewB- Mm, most of what you said, I'm right behind you on most of the points you mentioned.

Aww, thanks!!! *hugs back* Yeah...that toolbar thing on deviation pages is a tad bothersome...but I really don't like that certain deviations with preview pics can't be full-viewed, but have to be downloaded instead...that's just frustrating. ^^; The message center does indeed need a tweak though, both technically and visually.

Pro: You can see who has faved a deviation from anyone.

Con 1: Does anyone has problems with the Journal? As in not being able to view your old journal entries at DA

Con 2: Same as above, but with the forum boards, as in not being able to view the second page. Damn...
