I not only cannot wait for the essay, I also thought up a new reason as to why we should be excited about season 3! There might be new tech...

Can anyone else smell a "Let's Talk Tech 3?"

Okay...

I have a question. If this has already been answered, tell me.

How does XANA possess a person? Is it some sort of plot device or is there a real reason?

Beautiful stuff, TB3! This is gonna be in Moonscoop's tech books for sure! Unfortunately, though, I have no graphics converter.

Taelia, I've got my copy showing in Wordpads's 'Print Preview' mode. Only way I can see it properly (takes what seems like a minute to open!)...

TB3 wrote:And if you have feedback, you have 48 hrs to tell me before I leave...FOR PARIS!

So you're hand-delivering it?

Looking through it now.

Saddened that apparently my soundbite was too nuts for inclusion, but I was right about others describing things better than I could. Still, if there's still time, I think I'll try that second draft. At least to try and get the first few lines in. SOMEBODY has to be the funny one... :nyeh!:

All pages are approx.

Various: You might want to consider shrinking the pics because at the moment they're playing havoc with the page count and the 'print preview' appearence. For example, In the current version, according to Wordpad, Page 46 consists of 1 partial line ("greater the sensitiveity of the entire device")

Page 19 (1): "The fact that Exertanium was never developed outside of Carthage is that it is impossible." Should probably start 'The reason that...".

Page 19 (2): Also, there's an odd gap in the line "Hopper’s stroke of brilliance was that if one was to build a CASIMIR-ENGINE (or scanner)"

Page 30: "Amdhal's Law" could also be named the "BitTorrent Dilemma"...

Pages 38-40: Maybe move the first picture of the Nulcear Battery and it's caption to the end of the section, in order to allow the main text to reveal the educated guess of Lead 210

Page 66: "saved Franz a considerable amount on savings" still sounds redundant to me

Page 75-76: I notice you're still refferring to your paradox answer as the definite one. Would be nice if, as discussed, you made it sound less certain and more like a theory.

Page 77: Mysteriously blank.

Overall, though, this is great stuff! And this is only half our material? Good grief!

Will try to do a revised soundbite tomorrow (if you're willing to accept it). That aside, one thought: what about a list of Lyokologists names, maybe somewhere in the Contributers section? By getting the title, I assumed it meant we'd been of some small use...

For now though, I'm off to bed!

I recomend a brief spell-check for profesionalisms sake, because I noticed you misspelled several words, not including the ones that aren't in the program. I also would like to note that the picture of the nanotubes at the top, would go better with the paragraph about them. It seems to be a bit random, at the very top, and isn't where it is needed to understand the underlying passage.
Small errors aside, I love the way it is written, the pictures are very profesional, and you include just enough humor to keep it from being strictly technical. Very nicely done, and I wish you the very best of luck, weather, and even more luck in your trip to Paris. Knock 'em dead, TB3.

Okay guys, these notes will go in - Cassius I'm more than willing to add your stuff in but obviously time is a major factor.

And yes guys, this is getting hand-delivered to Moonscoop by me! :)

Crap, I had this awesome quote from Robotech that would have gone well near the theories about how the RTTP worked.

"And On and on the great mandella spun,
Until two halves learned they both were one."

I thought of this when I was reviewing the part how temporarily the future computer and past computer become one computer.

Hi guys - I added your corrections today - on specific points:

Sithking, neat quote, but I couldn't find a place to put it

Cassius, your soundbyte when added covered 3 pages, so I edited it down sharply to the lightning in the bottle and LTT sections - that okay? :)

That done, I printed it off (72 pages!) stuck it in a folder and am now packing bags for the epic trip to Paris!

Viva la LF! :)

Woohoo! I wonder... have things like this ever gotten into the news, or are they just random fan events that come and go? I'm sure that others have tried figuring out all the different mechanisms of Cyborg from TT. :P
thank you all for the good memories <3

I guess that you probably won't see this until you come back, but I thought that quote would have gone After the RTTP section about how the past and future computer became one. Sorry you didn't get to use it, but good luck in France!

It'll have to be ok if you've already printed it! :D

I'm hoping that you also included the first few lines before the lightning in the bottle bit, but I'm glad to have managed to come up with something worth putting in...

Incedentially, a .txt version of the version you sent out (ie. Courier New 10, no pictures) is only 31 pages...

So if you get a chance before you go, you might want to have a fiddle with margins (I use 1.5cm for all four), page breaks (try to eliminate pages that only have one or two paragraph on 'em; maybe use a (small) Xana eye pic instead of a page break) and SHRINK YOUR PICTURES! Most of the ones you've got in there are HUGE.

Because If you can knock even 20 pages off the total, It'll be a lot easier for Moonscoop to deal with.

Guys, stop worrying. TB3 knows what he's doing. I read them all in thirty minutes. He made the font easy to read, you don't have to strain to see it. The pictures are the right size, because they have to be big to see the detail so they can understand the concepts. These are smart, imaginative people, not smart, imaginative Quantum Physicists. Besides, he already left. Otherwise, I would have suggested making it a slideshow or creating an overhead layout for the main topics. :D

he only left yesterday for cryin' out loud. He'll probably take a week so he can see the sights. he did say he was packing stuff. and you cant expect him to just run down there and say "'ere ya go" and come rushing back. plus he will probably find a way to contact us while he is there.

It's not like France doesn't have internet, after all.

Though, since he was supposed to phone me so we could meet and he didn't, I'm faintly worried. Hopefully he'll get in touch.

Well, if he does look at this before he leaves France, I have a huge thought.
The "ghost" of the universe that is left behind after the RTTP can be eliminated by a paradox.
If, when sending the temporal coordinates and the new timestream data back to the supercomputer in the past, it also sent the date that the RTTP had occured on, and gave the computer instructions to send that data back to itself on the day that the RTTP occured, to the same time that the computer recieves the information in the first place, then it creates a loop that prevents the data from being erased, but allows the timeline to move freely.
In laymans terms, the future computer tells the past computer how to change reality, and tells it to wait a few days and tell itself the same thing at the same time afterwards. So the current computer "A" gets the original message to return to the past from a computer in the future existance "A", then when the timestream is altered it becomes the computer from future existance "B", and sends the same information future "A" sent back to the same time future "A" sent it to, because future "A" no longer exists because it's timeline was wiped out to make way for Future "B".
First off, is anyone unclear on it? I can draw a timemap to illustrate if it is a little fuzzy.
Second off, does anyone find a flaw in my logic? I would like to know if this isn't possible, so try to find some problem with it.
