if by sectors you mean worlds..no, there are two..light side, where you interact with people and normal stores and stuff, and the dark world, where you fight demons and see weird things.

Oh, I thought there was four of them...like..a town in fog, one in darkness, one normal...and I forget the other one. They change at the sound of a horn or something...

umm..I dont know about the previous games..I have only played Silent Hill 3.

There are 3 dimensions; the "normal" one, the one where there are monsters and there's no one else around, and finally the "otherworld" where everything is bloody and things change, like some buildings disappearing (or appearing).

I've played the four games although the first two are my favorites. The third one didn't really scare me (but it's still entertaining) and the fourth one wasn't even going to be called "Silent Hill", it was going to be a new different game but they decided to name it "Silent Hill: The Room" so people would buy it.

Ohh...we must have been in the otherworld then. I think that's my favorite one...it's creepy, but not disgusting. Just...really creepy.

Yes it is. . By the way, to answer your previous question about Mary, she just appears in SH2 (SH2's story is independent from the rest of the games). She's the one you're supposed to be looking for in the game.

I got about halfway through 3 I think, or maybe 80 percent through it, what a cool game though.

Yeah, thats probably it, because I know in SH3 there are only two worlds..the light side, and the dark side...the dark side gave me nightmares for a day or two after haha.

In SH3 there are actually 3 worlds too. At the beginning, you're in the real world. Then monsters begin appearing, so you're now in the second world (that acts as a bridge between the two major worlds). And then when it gets really dark, blood starts coming out of walls and disturbing music starts playing (this happens after you meet a woman named Claudia) you're in the otherworld.

The movie takes its biggest inspiration from the original Silent Hill. But you won't really understand it if you haven't played them all.

Claudia was freaky...very freaky..and yeah, I didnt exactly count the beginning world..I usually dont.

You know whats strange though, is they got the girl in the movie to look freakishly close to the character in the game. Unlike resident evil, this movie definitely makes the connection, and does it in the coolest way possible.
