I just noticed this but during part 1 of the episode when Jeremie is searching for something (I don't know, I don't speak French) That there was a XANA symbol over North and South America. So they decide to have us taken over or something.

I so laughed out loud at that part. I was like, "Augh, he's going for the Americans! I knew Paramount's firing Tom Cruise would make him angry" LOL! ^^;



Okay...yeah, I could understand most of the dialogue...but what really grabbed me was the artistry. Omigosh, the CG work has gotten even better!!! (And it was pretty amazing to start with!) I mean, just take into consideration that this video is an online file, so the quality isn't perfect...and the CGI work is gorgeous. Odd's motions in particular are brilliantly fluid and graceful. I adored the scene of him doing a "victory flip" in sector 5's dome. And the scenes of him scrabbling up the sector 5 walls, cat-style? They're so realistic!

Aelita's motions, particularly her jumps have clearly been more refined. Her jumping and hustling to get press the Sector 5 key? Genius! The expressions of the rest of Team Lyoko to that were just priceless too. ^.^

I would say that judging by this video, the rest of the gang's CGI movement has been heavily perfected as well. They all run differently from each other, which is very realistic, and the run cycles in of themselves, are smoothly animated and not at all jerky looking to me.

*squeals* And now for my rant on the 2D artistry! ^^

I can tell that the animators this season have taken great care to make the motions and gestures of the characters even more true to life than before. The scene that stands out the most for me in this respect is the scene between Yumi and Ulrich in the forest. Ulrich's gestures have really been attended to with care, considering the topic being discussed. I was particularly impressed by his motions following his cell phone interupting his and Yumi's...er..."anti-confession". ^^; He's talking on his cell, and backing away, all the time gesturing an "It's okay, no problem, I'm totally cool with this", and then sits down trying to look comfortable but obviously tense and not at all cool with the situation.

Yumi's posturing is interesting to note too. Throughout the entire scene...she has her back turned to Ulrich and is only looking at him by glancing behind. Other than the one montage in "Routine", Yumi usually faces someone directly when she's mad or certain about something. For some reason, I couldn't help but think of "Laughing Fit" when I saw this scene. In that episode, Yumi's also upset, and she keeps her back to Ulrich (only looking at him with a backward glance) and tells him to go away. Now we all know how that episode ended...so here's why I'm more than sure that Yumi's "declaration" that "they're just friends" is either a front or at least something that's not what it seems. The fact that her shoulders were hunched up and her arms crossed, only makes me think that she's guarding herself over this even more.


Umm...wow, I didn't mean to go all "socialogist/psychologist" on you like that...heh...I was just vastly impressed by this episode artistically and in its script.

Oh...and that Disco Jim video? That's absolutely the new BBBD. No questions asked. That was brilliant. (And Odd's mischeivous snickering throughout it only made it funnier).

Definitely! In my opinion thats even better then BBBD. We're probably going to see so many music videos on youtube with that scene.

I have this phrase stuck in my head from watching the disco scene too much. "Jim Morales, disco, film, enter!" * show disco scene*

Yeah... After popping in one of my brother's CL DVDs I really do think the music played for the disco scene (we have to come up with some kind of name for it) is the music in "Killer Music". I forget what they called it though, I think it was "Glad when you're Bad" but at the end of the episode Odd called it something like, "Under my Cover" by R U fleg Knight? but that was all I could diciefer from Odd's fast speaking.

That issue is fixed at the end of the episode, I believe. I'm still not so sure if Odd is not in the other's class because of poor grades, or because of too many students (thus resulting in two classes instead of one). And again, it could be a "he needs to be separated from the one's encouraging him" thing too...as teachers and principals like to do that kind of thing. ^^

I believe that, whatever the reason, it is fixed at the end of the episode when Odd gives the video back. He leaves looking awfully happy, so I'm sure that those two work things out so that they both are satisfied with the results.

But again, I'm not sure...this was one of the parts where I couldn't catch the words too well. ^^;

Well they wre speaking so rapidly I couldn't understand and French is my native language.....bizarre. Season 3...they speak so fast. Season one and 2 in French I can handle but gees...talk about "SPURRRR!"

I'd have to listen to the translation again. LyokoCode has a synopsis up, which will probably have the explanation and reason there...the trick is translating it. ^^;

I remember from the spanish version of Killer Music having Odd saying he's good at Physics, which I thought it was a lie. But I'll have to see it again to check just in case.
