Its nice that they have 4 full warriors now, though at this point, Aelita still seems a bit iffy on her fighting prowess, but I'm sure thats bound to change with time and practice. I'm still wondering how they will defend against a routine XANA attack and what actions they plan on taking, since this episode didn't show how XANA will attack the real world outside the supercomputer.

I'm still waiting in earnest for Jeremie to make the jump to joining them, if even for atleast one episode so we can see it. You know, if there is a similar goal to the towers from Season 1 and 2, I'd bet that one of these episodes will have one where they all get devirtualized, and Jeremie needs to do what needs to be done. Maybe even, he can take Aelita's former role of being the one who has to avoid fighting unless its absolutely necessary.

Also interesting development on the Yumi/Ulrich front with Yumi giving the proverbial "Let's be friends" routine. Sure its kind of a regressive step backwards from what we were all hoping for, but atleast its beyond the limbo of the whole does he/she like me or not routine from the first 2 seasons. Hopefully with time, they'll make a more positive step forward.

I think since XANA is outside Lyoko, XANA can go anywhere he want within a very fast speed. Notice that early they detect XANA by the South of Africa, later they found it on a North America map. And he can go to Lyoko and back there at any given time. After all, XANA's main goal right now is to destroy Lyoko and kill Franz Hopper.

If you mean, say the word Kill, they've said it before. Common Interest, to paraphase:

Jeremie: As soon as I'm done [replacing the battery], Peter Duncan is going to kill me.

If you mean have someone be killed, its happened before plenty of times in Y7 cartoons, aslong as its a non-graphic death. Gargoyles had multiple murders, Justice League (both versions), Superman, Batman, Spiderman usually recounts the murder of Ben Parker, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) had a few guys die off screen, Wing Commander Academy, Exosquad, Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles, several comical cartoons include someone in angel wings as a metaphor for their untimely passing (Tom & Jerry, Looney Toons, Ren & Stimpy), Avatar: the Last Airbender had several people meet there end including most of the Air Nomads, Admiral Zhao, and possibly Fire Lord Azulon, and that's not including anime.

So really, its not whether you can allow deaths, its whether or not the writers will, and they're French writers so they aren't held to the same standards and practices we have here in America. And with that I leave you with a basic showing of me having no life whatsoever.

Don't stop now, this is getting interesting...

How IS French BS&P different to American (or english, for that matter)?

And as for Gargoyles, that had the episode where one of the Gargoyles accidentially shoots Eliza with her own gun...

Don't forget that in one of the episodes of the second season of the 90's Fantastic Four cartoon, they actually had someone die.

HONESTLY. :pbthbb: It's not as if there's anything about the ep left to talk about...

It's just animeoligist as come up with an interesting side topic and it would be nice to persue it without "off-topic" songs.

Vora? Interesting new nick.

Curious that this subject should come up - in both of the episodes we saw, certain words were being tweaked in such a manner.

I.e replacement of the word 'kill' with 'zap'.

There is also a precedent for use of these dark words - in Ghost Channel XANA/Jeremie laughs 'YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!'

And in my opinion....they way they portrayed Xana/Jeremy was rather...too scary for.... 5/6 year olds.... and it was slightly disturbing to me.

It was kinda creepy... then again, it's a demon. And Code LYoko is for teenagers, not 5/6 year olds. I'm sure we can handle it. :D You wanna know what creeped me out?
Aelita being possesed. It was just downright freaky...

That's what I mean! I mean, they have all the blow-em-up stuff...and look at Dragon Ball Z, one of the most popular cartoons around: that's all violence! (granted...it's a good show...I miss the orignals...) but you gonna admit, there is much worse stuff out there that kids watch.
