I think its the combination of this being my 29th hour without sleep, The music I'm listening to, and the sugar rush to keep me up, and the bats. Although I never really saw a bat in person.

Technically, it's not Ironic, since your statement includes the word "attempt" thus it leads to beleive that you don't always try to be funny, and when you are it doesn't always work...
