The things Jim would rather not talk about... like homosexual intercourse or Jim being a rape victim. If so, then we can think he got a cumshot on that very spot he covers with his bandage.
On a more serious note, I think the bandage symbolizes something on Jim, like making him notice that he's quite clumsy and not that clever really.

I don't think that Jim is XANA. Remember in the episode with the character Taelia, how the XANA-controlled Samurai armor attacked him? If Jim was truly XANA, and I was XANA, first off I wouldn't have attacked myself. Second off, I would have tried to be attacked in a more visible place, to throw off any suspicion. You know?

I actually wrote a story for University explaining what's under the bandage - I suggested a scar - and the cause was - Odd's dad, back when I harboured the concept of General Della Robbia

That bandaid's been there for 3 whole seasons.
Who knows what kind of bacteria are multiplying under that.
Unless he changes it like once a day or so.
From my experience cosplaying Jim, he would need to change it fairly often otherwise it would just fall off.
Btw - that story I mentioned helped me get excellent points on my first year course!

They probably just put the bandage on his face for the same reason that they made him wear red shoes and not purple shoes; they just did. But anyway, it probably symbolizes that he works out hard, thus he got a scar or a cut in this from it. That represents toughness.
