Hmm, one thing that came to mind regarding Sissi - I really think the guys did hard by her.

Okay, so, Sissi 'missed her chance' because

A: She was scared to go in the scanner, which is fair enough and I'd probably be the same - heck, JEREMIE didn't go through the whole process for over a year.

B: She blabbed - need I point out that she had just been attacked, quite badly, and her immediate reaction was to try and save the others - that is actually damn noble, even if she did tell Jim and Delmas. The road to hell may be paved with good intentions, but she wanted to help and this was her only option.

The first response Sissi gets to her actions is for Ulrich to call her a traitor - hardly fair, or reasonable - the sad thing is this is one case where Sissi's actions and motives will never be known to the group (the first case of an RTTP wiping out character development), and because of it they treat her spitefully for most of the next two years.

I would like to point out though, that Sissi has grown a lot since this ep - she's stopped being such a ditz, showed considerable backbone, warmed up to the gang, learned how to fight and thrown herself into the path of danger several times. In many cases, victory could not have occured without her, and were it not for her, Ulrich would be dead at the posessed hands of her father.

Why do I say all this - because I like Sissi, and my fear is that she'll go the same way as Milly and Tamiya, being sidelined out of plots and episodes and halting dead her substantial progression as a character - I want to see her continue growning above her foibles, I want the gang to recognise her merits, and I want her to stop FORGETTING AFTER EVERY RETURN TO THE PAST!

Heck, I love the sci-fi of the RTTP, but I hate how it esseintially rapes the secondary characters' memories every time its used, which in my mind almost borders on a violation as great as a XANA Posession.

PS: If Ulrich's going to continue holding Sissi's actions against her after what he did in 'The Chips Are Down' then he really is a hypocrite. Just my thoughts.

By the way, do you have any data on season three or four where Sissi possibly joins the group? You don't have to specify "Yes, Sissi joins," or "No, she doesn't." All I'm asking for is if you have the data.

Yes. I want to see more character depth in her. She's already evolved farther than most people on children's shows do. To see her pushed to the side...a true shame.

I do! Sissy may be the only "schoolgirl snob" type character with actual development and depths to her personality, this prequel shows she does have a good heart despite her mean outer behavior. I'm sure the writers won't brush her aside in the end, since giving her a major role in the prequel to begin with suggests otherwise, but if they do I will be pissed, she really deserves better.

If things got to heavy for her she'd go and tell everyone about XANA and Lyoko. Her thoughts to save the other's were well, but the fact that she showed Jim and Delmas where they were, was wrong.
She could have just snuck out, and helped them herself.
