Eh, somthing about it creats a paredox (however, going back in time and NOT changing wether or wether not someone dies seams to have no efect.)

Also, it only sends the consuse mind back in time, going in line with the curent theory.

So, any idea how to creat a Zepton partical exclerater? (Eureaka's seson premear. I can't explane how it works.)

Zepton.Particle.Accelerator - ZPA
Zero.Point.Energy - ZPE

Close, so close - Chupathingy saw this and commented on it - it sounds like 50% Space-Time-Manipulator and 50% Tachyon-Generator.

Weird how all this works out! :P

Wow

*takes of flame suit*

Looks like I didn't nead this after all...

(back on topic)

Anyone seen the second to last eppesode? When Cartter's hose hold AI went phyco? I that kinda reminded me of someone.... *coughxanacough*

It could be posible that XANA is version 2.0 of the AI adminstrater of lyoko. One little slip up, and you have dule personalitys. Meaning that if XANA was buolt on AI 1.0, like (for got its name) was built on Brian the evil interopgater, than the origenal personality comes through when a tramatic event occurse. (ie. a REBOOT! ;) )

So... Like KITT and KARR, but backwards? (In Knight Rider, KARR was the evil prototype of KITT)

Prity much. If being shut down and rebooted isn't a tramatic event, than nothing is.

Ah well, I must show show a good example as a mod.

Bad Analogy. XANA surely rates a more important program than Word. Windows Explorer, probably, except that the Supercomputer seems to operate just fine with him.

OK.. sence I'm back it's time to do as promoused to geve the "how it works in the computer world" deffnation to what Rhys was trying to say

If this doesn't make entire sence please ask as this is the actual deep down technition type things that I've been learnign in my A+ class (A+ is the universial computer tech certificat)

OK to the point of the "reading the mind"/what ever as we saw in the prequal
Rhys explaind our thoughts on how it got the data for making the avatar... now for how it talks to the brain and understands what's going on.

As Cassius pointed out, on real computers you need data to tell it how to run things. this can come in one of 2 gernral forms. the first, Basic Input/Output Serveses... or BIOS is bascialy data that is encoded on a ROM (no need to explain) Chip on your motherboard. it contains the code that alows your computer to use the most basic of devices it needs from when you boot up. this normaly includes things that are generic and don't need very spesfic drivers like Keyboards, CD-ROMS, harddrives. basicaly any thing you could use before windows starts up is controled by a BIOS. now some thigns need more specialised instructions, or it's not a common thing, but you want them to start when you boot... so thy have an Optional Rom.. an on hardware BIOS that runs with the normal BIOS. the main thing you would see this on (but not only) would be a video card.

Now, you ahve the second type, System Drivers (or drivers for short) which do the same thing, tell the computer how to use this peice of hardware, but ae loaded by the OS... say windows. this normaly includes your mouse, sound card, network, and the specialised drivers for your video card that make it use it's full power. these are normaly loaded when windows starts.. but some things (a lot of USB and Firewire devices) can do it when the get pluged in.

now, back to lyoko, what I think happens when your mind is scanned is it is basicaly made in to a part of the hardware, another device, alowing you to move (walk jump run what have you) talk, and use powers and weapons as if you were on a real world via the partical simulation system.
Now as a device you need a way for the brain to take in the data you are thinking (move arm up) to the computer to do such, and data to come back to you (OUCH that laser hurnt). sond familer... this is a job for a BIOS or Driver. Now you may ask first where is the driver and how does it go from our thought to the computer, I offer you this question. what makes your thought of "rais arm" go to fireing the nerve inpulses down your back in to yoru arm to raise it... it's automatic with your brain. AKA the drivers are there already... but instead of yoru nervice system it's the computer, and hwo it is able to speak the same lanuage, well when virtualised, it has to turn your brain is to somethign it can understand to simulate any ways... so it jsut happens that now you brain is in the computer's code, has the Directions (built on BIOS) and you can take it from there.

You might also ask, if when on lyoko they experience it in real time, but a computer moves at it's ultra hight spead, well your mind only opreats at one spead... what we presive as real time, the computer has many parts that run at different speeds do to crystals that control this speed, and some parts (like the CPU) have a special built in device that takes this speed and multiplies it to go as fast as it does. The computer could theroliticly either run yoru brain at it's speed and keep yoru preception at this "normal" speed... or once it get what it needs... it runs it all at our normal speed. Either way.. all you need is a speed "devider" instead of the clock multiplier (real term). I aim at hte primary as so much is going on to keep your brain workign and transfer the right data I think it's jsut our conches mind can't operate that fast (or isn't alowed)

I'm tired so I'll answer any questions you may have, or anything I forgot tomorrow, as well as try to get in to the other new ideas such as MRAM dn Solid state hardrives.

(oh and to the one comment about why Odd had a shield in this but never used it in S1... probalby cause in S1 they didn't think about it... but it is SUPOSE to be a cannon thing from day one... make sence...)

also sorry for any spelling... this was it was quickly checked by word

ROM=Read Only Memory, meaning you are unable to change things that are on this drive. For those who arent computer savvy..:)

Good explanation Chupa..:) Thats sorta what I was trying to say about scanning the brain particles and making it part of the system itself.

Chupa, I see where you're going with this, but the Supercomputer would need it's own Drivers. I very much doubt the human brain has the built-in capabilities to be run on a Supercomputer! The human Brain has it's own BIOS, with bult in Drivers to allow it to run the human body? Fine. But the supercomputer's BIOS has to be able to understand the Brain's BIOS and for that it would need it's own set of Drivers. You can't cheat and assume the super computer 'just happens' to understand it

Actually no, because you see a BIOS is the directions... everything NEEDS a BIOS but all it is is the series of instructions to tell the CPU how it works... that's all. Your brain already works on the same basic principal as a computer, electrical impulses down the nerves is basically the same as a electrical charge down a wire.

If you were to connect your brain (or nerves) to a computer in a way that it wouldn't kill you, you could in theory control things. This has actually been done in real life by Kevin Warwick (see link at bottom) who has actually tried (and done) things like implanting a specially designed microchip in to his arm (to the main nerve there) that was able to take the nerve impulses and transfer them to a computer to do things like control a robotic arm, and in reverse, hook up a sonar device and able to "see" when blindfolded.

Yes, it had a Micro Processor in it, and probably a bios or driver (remember drivers do the same thing but are stored somewhere else like a hard drive) to use it, but that was with the bridge from his nerve and the computer... As well as having to slow things down for his brain... which can't go that fast.

I am sugesting that if you were to put your brain directly into the computer and be able to run it at the same speed (aka virtualise it) it could act as its own instruction manual. The most you MIGHT need is maybe a simple driver to act as that bridge... if even that, thought it is possible.

Does that help?
