(Stage 1 is getting the overall layout put together... that is, keeping the parts with no words and replacing the French parts with the regular English words.)
Completed mid-late October.

Stage 2: Complete!
(Stage 2 is putting the remixed drums (that's what gives it the remix-y feeling) into the regular English parts.)
Completed Sunday Nov 5.

Stage 3: Complete!
(Stage 3 is adding in the reverb and high pass filter in the second chorus... you know, that part where the voices go really high and then that horrendous click comes in and they go back to normal? Yeah. That.)
Completed Friday Nov 10.

Stage 4: Complete!
(Stage 4 is putting the finishing touches on it; getting the transitions just right and getting some French parts that I couldn't previously remove out of it.)

Umm... yeah, I thought about that awhile back, but I figured it wouldn't matter. But you're right. People will get upset if it sounds like it's already been made. Also, I've started working on the drums, so look forward to hearing some major differences! (Well, actually, you haven't heard ANYthing yet xD;;, so never mind.

By the way, you do know that you could just download AWWD off of Itunes, right? It's not a dance remix, but you wouldn't have to do all that ripping and modification to get english on.

Now I think I get it... you think I'm starting from scratch. Actually, I just re-use part from the beginning of the remix where there aren't any words and play the English over that. I still have to adjust the volume and sync the English to the remix, though... that much is super-hard. O___o

Edit: Reverb is complete and I've started on the bridge!

I have to admit, I hated the beat at the beginning; I swear you get something like it in nearly every techno/house/garage/dance remix going, as if an entire section of the music industry thinks any song can be improved by being stretched out and nearly drowned by the sound of someone getting punched in the face over and over.


Once the CL theme properly kicks in (about 20 secs in), things improve drastically, the backbeat suddenly starting to sound like somone clapping along in the background.

That's 'cause it is. Nobody's bothered to make it with English.

I actually had the high-pass filter done last week, but now I've uploaded it. Tell me if it sounds bad by November 2 or it'll stay that way. It's honestly the best I could do...

Edit: I now have the vocal echoes at the very end completed. Coming up...

Sunday (10/29): Gettting the "on ira"s out of each chorus at the end. Also completing the drums-only part so I can fix the bridge.
Next Friday-Saturday (11/3-4): Fixing the bridge.
Next Sunday (11/5): Listen to it with headphones (for better quality) and re-align words to remix as necessary.
Next next Friday (11/10): Upload and see if everybody on LF approves.
Next next Saturday (11/11): Release to public!

So, what's the difference between this and the one by Noam (other than the fact that it's a remix)? With what everyone has said in this topic, it sounds as if it hasn't been sung in English yet (despite the fact that I have the full version of the English song right on my PC).

If there's any reason, please tell me. By the way, I have not listened to it yet.

Thank you Vora, both for saying whether the lyrics were fan made or not and for the compliment.

However, what I really need your opinion on (speaking to everybody) is whether the second chorus sounds good at the end. (For those of you who are audio-illiterate, a high-pass filter filters out the low sounds and lets the high sounds pass.
That's what I need feedback on.

Today:
I have uploaded a new audio file! Now the bridge sounds much better, although it still needs drums and the vocals need re-aligning.

Coming up:

Saturday (11/4): Completely fix the bridge and listen to it with headphones (for better quality) and re-align words to remix as necessary.

Next Friday (11/10): Check feedback; make final corrections.
Next Saturday (11/11): Release to public! Also submit to codelyoko.fr and other major CL sources to see if they will host it.

The lines,

"We'll do our best to never let you down,
We're up to the test to turn this world around." are cut off at the end, not to mention the area from the end of the chorus before those lines and ending after that- you know what I mean?- sounded way better, less airy, in previous versions.

The newer version isn't nearly as good. Sorry, but it's true.
