I GOT PUBLISHED!

My poetry has been published in a book! I'm practically crying, i have never really won anything or been recognized but my poem is going to get it's own page among many other poems in a book! oh I'm so so so happy!

here is the poem

Lies

In time the wounds will heal
That's what they said to me
In time you will not feel
The pain buried so deep
Keep your lies away from me
My happiness is a lie from you
An illusion of sadness and confusion
A toxin flowing in my veins
A love I cant let go of
I have no one I can trust
I can only trust in my dreams
My life filled with pain and lust
No love or childish fantasies
You tell me lies everyday
I listen patiently though I cannot say
My eyes are constantly fogged by tears
My mind is clouded by my fears
My heart is torn between
What you say and what I believe

I tried publishing a poetry book once. About 70 or 80 of them are in my room. At least I hope they're still there; if the mothballs have run out then they've probably been eaten by termites like my IEEE Red Book, my copy of "The Dogs Of War" by Frederick Forsythe, and several of my brother's issues of National Geographic...

Sorry for the off-topic, but for one moment, I was thinking of napthalene, but then I thought for a while and also saw that mothballs can also cotain camphor and paradichlorobenzene. Different types.

Oh, that's cool. It even says: "features the poem, Lies"

Which means that the book was sorta created around that poem, i think. Since that's the only poem it lists in the caption. I'm not SO good at poems, but I like writing books. ff.net is a very good training ground for me.

not very long, it came from my heart so it was easy to write the difficulty was making the words rhyme...

sorry it took me so long to read this. That poem is... really deep. I love it. I read it like 5 times. I think I'm gonna print it out and use it as inspiration for my songs. (Don't worry I won't copy it thats stupid and I don't want anyone elses work. Just mine)
