While I am the first to jump at circumstantial evidence... for once, I don't think it proves much. Odd's a really nice guy when you get right down to it, and the only time it's fun to be evil to someone is when they can be evil back. Odd knows when to be nice.

Also, I doubt it was a planned thing; one of the animators probably just added it (a la Crazy Foaming Guy's performance on Avatar).

That *is* true. We all know Odd thinks Sissi is pretty, but he's turned off by her personality. However, considering all the stuff they went through in season two, I think he's starting to realize she's a good person (as opposed to just helping her out because he knows it's the right thing to do).

Considering, I am hopeful for them in season four. Season three did nothing; it was cool and all, but it was mostly setup, and there wasn't that much interesting stuff with the characters.

I agree with this, fully. I think that S4 will be a good setup season for the couple.

I also came up with a very big observation for S4, but it has nothing to do with OxS. So, I'll post it in the speculation thread.

You know after the way S3 ended, I don't really see Sissi ever being allowed to join the gang anymore. I mean for starters they can't really trust her to keep the secret anyway, she's more of a questionable fighter than William even (Although at the opposite extreme of standing back too much,) and there is no way they'ed ever vote to let her in, their concerns for they saftey of anybody else they'ed let in would outweigh the benefits.

That doesn't mean I have any lesser hopes for OxSi, it could easily happen sans the Lyoko half. It just says to me that she would be something more of an Earth distraction than a real warrior when it comes to action.

As for how to avoid the cheesiness, I dunno. It requires some work on Sissi as an individual first, like in S2 when she jumped into the fight or had an earnest talk with William, humanizing moments to make her smarter. Also they have to find some way to kill her attraction to Ulrich for good. You can't undo 3 seasons + backstory like that easily, so whew. Thats a season spanning task right there.

Well, while Sissi advocated the turning-off of Lyoko (of which she had not truly seen and comprehended the fact that Aelita was a sentient being), they let Ulrich back into the group after he knowingly made XANA stronger by doing a return to the past. Perhaps they're not on the same scale of things, but if he hadn't done that, it's possible that Season three would not have happened because XANA would be weaker, and they would have found Franz. In my opinion, that was almost as bad as advocating the turning- off of Lyoko. In fact, it's worse, because Sissi was assing the situation as "there's a demon who wants to destroy the world inside the computer, and turning it off will shut it off." I would have done what Sissi did in that situation (more politely, but still). Ulrich knowingly helped the demon.

So, really, I think that the best way for Sissi to get in the group is for there to be such an urgent need for help (say, Will is constantly kicking (BKO) on the intenet) and need support on their missions. That, or she starts to be nicer. Either way.

And for a somewhat more selfish cause. But then again Sissi probably told Jim and her father to shut off the SC just to get revenge, while using the "There's a demon in there" as an excuse.

I hope there will at least be some small, if any, hints of the two having good interaction in S4. <-- Added just so I can avoid somewhat spam.

I haven't really thought about how they'd get together in the continuity of the show, to tell the truth. I like working with older versions or doing AUs. They'll probably get stuck together somehow- in Lyoko or on earth or something.

OxSi is best when you try to think of how to do it in canon, it's the biggest challange and has an interesting effect on both characters. I want to see the writers try it, if nothing else, to see how closely it matches up to my notions of how it should be. I think there is a good smatter of evidence they're actually considering it if nothing else.

Agreed. Notoriously examples of the cheesy romance comes along with the blushing, which kills any possible serious romance aspect. I might be wrong on this statement, though.

Staying IC is pretty easy... if they ever hook up, it'll be, like I said, because they got stuck together somewhere. They'll end up having a "heartfelt talk" and realizing the other isn't so bad. Probably, they'll end up feeling stupid for disliking each other for so long, since they are pretty alike. Odd knows that Sissi isn't so bad, thinks she's attractive, and maybekindasorta likes her... so! Love blooms! Or something.

...personally, I'm voting for the "or something". It'd be funny to have them in total denial for a while (not *too* long, though, or it'd just get annoying).

I'm still holding out hope that Sissi will make it to Lyoko somehow, of course after the events of season three that's HIGHLY unlikely but still... and I can DEFINITELY hope for OddxSissi. They just seem like the kinda couple that would sit down by the fire 20 years later and tell their kids about how much they hated each other back when they were in school, and about all the funny stuff they pulled on each other (aka stuff like in my fic Sissi's Odd Predicament)

And if they ever DO get together, you know there'll be a lot of making out, lol.

Yeah, ever since "XANA Awakens" Sissi's name means mud with a good chunk of the LF populace, and provided those who hated her already an even greater reason to hate. Right now's not really the time for Sissi to shine. Now, if she was shown in a more positive light in S4, she might stand a chance, and stories involving her might gain more popularity, but right now, her name is the bane of a storywriter's existence.

i fell sorry for sissi,everyone hates her. she's been my favorite character (after odd) since the first ep I've seen her in...though i'm not sure why.

Huh, after seeing half of Season 4, with no inklings of OddxSissi at all...let alone barely any Sissi, period...I dunno. Still, I find it a possibility still. With all those strange little moments (the nose kiss, the fall, the thing with the internet in S2) you'd have to think it meant SOMETHING. Either that, or it's all one big red herring.

Either way, I still think it's a cute couple. And there's still several more episodes/maybe a whole season to go.

Is it okay if I resurrect the couple threads? It'll give the good people something to do...
