Okay first I would like to say, that I have permission from TB3 to make this thread (I needed permission becuase there was already a thread here)

But I've made this thread to disscuss the game and the movie (which comes out Dec 15'th) and also the books. Talk about what you liked or dislike about any of them. Or maybe your theorys. Or if you've never heard of them, or if you've just never read them maybe this will get you into them.

Well that's all I can think of to say so, disscuss ^^;

Lmao...I was looking at that alagaesia site and it said one boy, two dragons. So when the third book comes out are they gonna change it to three? Lol.

I think (considering that it's reported to be a green dragon) that it will either go to Roran or Arya (or if we're really unlucky it'll go to a baddie of some sort).
I don't know if there has been a female Rider before but I don't see why there wouldn't be.

Listen closely and I will tell you two things. When the time comes and you need a weapon, look under the roots of the Menoa tree. Then, when all seems lost and your power is insufficient, go to the rock of Kuthian and speak your name to open the Vault of Souls.

Heh, actually, if I didn't like Eragon so much, I would have voted that tooXD

Hmm, well, since Murtagh took Za'roc, he needs a new weapon, maybe that's where he will get it. I have no clue what to make of the second half though. Maybe since Murtagh is stronger than Eragon, and if he will need to fight him again, something will happen. Like at the Blood-Oath Celebration when the dragons made him more like an elf and made him stronger.

What about you?

Well as for the first part, (I just thought of this) What if he somehow contacts the person in the tree, you know the elf? Maybe that's it...

as for the second part maybe he'll somehow comunicate with Brom? Or maybe even his mom?

Not sure what to say about the first part, except that it's possible and would be very interesting. xD

The second part would also be interesting, if he got to talk to Brom again, that would be pretty cool. We also never hear anything about his mom, except that her name is Selena, and that she asked Garrow to take care of Eragon. It would be interesting. (wow, that's the third time I said that in this post xDD)

Um, okay But some people might not want spoilers, so I'll post this in white font.

Although very little has been released, a few things have been confirmed by the author.

The content of the cover is one of the few things confirmed by Paolini. Apparently the cover will be emerald green featuring a green dragon looking to the right. It is unknown who this dragon is; it is presumed to hatch from the last egg.
In March of 2006, Christopher Paolini was interviewed[1] by the fan site shurtugal.com where he revealed the following information:
When a dragon and Rider become linked, the Rider's magic immediately takes on the color of the dragon's scales. However, this does not mean that if you are a magic user born with green energy, you cannot be paired with an amethyst-colored dragon, for example. On being linked, your magic will automatically change from green to purple - although you can change colors at your will. Paolini states that although Eragon's magic is blue, he could produce red fire if he wanted to.
At the end of Eldest, the Varden favor Nasuada still in terms of leadership, although Paolini has hinted that in book 3 this might change.
Paolini has said that it is possible that Eragon may have unknown family members that have not been introduced so far in the series, though he did not confirm this.
Paolini also mentioned that in book 3 it will be revealed if Saphira ever finds a mate.
More information about Tornac (Murtagh's old friend and trainer) will be revealed.
Elva, along with "every other character," will have an important role to play.
At Comic Con, 2006, Paolini said of the Green Dragon Rider that there are "plenty of clues to the new dragon rider in Eragon and Eldest." He also said that while the readers shouldn't be shocked by the identity of the new Rider, it may be "a tad bit surprising". Paolini also said that he made a major change in Nasuada's character. [2]
The book will not be titled Glaedr. Many people believed this after a large fold out found in the deluxe edition of Eldest showed a cover with a picture of Glaedr.
An excerpt was released with the deluxe edition of Eldest.
Paolini revealed Arya and Eragon will have an "fun" relationship throughout the course of the third book, but did not go into detail

Release date for Book III? Your guess is as good as ours! We can assure you that Book III will be released some time after 2006, most likely Summer of 2007. However, at this point, there is no official release date for the book.

How about the title? We're willing to bet the book title will look something like this: E _ _ _ _ _. Safe to assume that the third book will fall into the 'six-letter-long starts-with-E theme'? We think so! The book has been rumored to be titled "Empire," though Christopher Paolini assures us that at this point, there is no official title to the book - meaning, "Bubbles For Buckfish" is just as likely as any other name for the book!

Are we looking at an even bigger book than Eldest? Probably. If you look at the way the book's size shot up from Eragon to Eldest, and then take into consideration all of the loose ends Christopher needs to tie up, as well as a huge, complicated plot, hundreds of characters, and a long to-do list for our favorite characters, then you'll probably realize that a small book really isn't going to cut it. How long, though? Your guess is, again, as good as ours.

What's the cover of the book going to look like? Christopher Paolini has told us himself that the book cover will be emerald green with a portrait of a green dragon facing the right. As with the first two books, John Jude Palencar will do the cover art for the book. (Learn more about John Jude Palencar.) We still don't know who the dragon or the Rider is, and we won't until the book releases
