Got robbed buying my PS3 :(

So I decided to finally break down and get a PS3 figuring as how I had some money saved up. I drove down to Wal-Mart and waited for a good hour for the store to open at the crack of dawn and rushed over the electonics where I was able to get ahold of the last PS3 they had in stock. I dropped down the $600 for it and decided I'd better get back home and get some sleep seeing as how I only had about 2 hours worth to begin with. So I get out to the parking lot and notice this guy in a big coat eyeing me and I didn't even think twice about it. I start heading towards my car and see out of the corner of my eye that the guy is following me, and just figured he was leaving, too. Now at this time it's still dark out so I'm a bit paranoid and I tried to just shrug it off, but the second I get to my car I'm grabbed by the shoulder and I feel the barrel of a gun stick into my back. I told him to take what ever he wanted... and now I'm out $600 cause he took my PS3... damn idiot didn't even want my wallet. Guess maybe he figured Halo or World of Warcraft was coming to PS3.

I didn't know what to do so I drove home and went to my parent's house and told them what had happened. Frantic my mother came to one conclusion; "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air." I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said "fresh" and it had a dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare but I thought; "Nah forget it. Yo holmes to Bel-Air!" I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and yelled to the cabbie "Yo holmes smell ya later!" I looked at my kingdom... I was finally there to settle my throne as the prince of Bel-Air."

Nice Fresh Prince reference! Yeah, I've been hearing a lot about recent riots and robbings because of the PS3. It's amazing how desperate people are because of a simple gaming system. I mean, come on!

Look on the bright side, though. At least it was something replacable instead of your life. You're one lucky man, Piper.

Jeez, look at the world nowadays. People are shooting each other for things they don't even need! Video Games are just something you can do when you're bored, leisurely (sp?) things, and people are shooting each other over them?!?

Well, there's not much you can really do about this. I mean, you can call the cops, but unless you got a good look at the guy's face or somthing like that, I'm not sure if they'll be able to do anything about it.

Sorry I'm not much help, but as SmackDown! and Rudger said, at least you still have your life.

Aiya, that was bad... good to know you weren't injured or anything. Exactly why when I get a new console or game, I always make sure me and my mom get it when it's still bright. Belfast gets really dangerous at night.

On the bright side, Sony's gonna be gutted when they get this flood of reports about the recent riots and stuff. xD Although I am NOT looking forward to March, when it comes out here... same time Pokemon D/P comes out... oh dear...

Indeed. Please don't ever abuse the Rant forum again like that Pepsi Piper, especially not with something serious like this. It's not funny as people have actually been robbed while buying a PS3 and people have been hurt as well.

This was not funny, and if you try something like this again, you can expect the mods to take action.

The rant forum is not the place to post jokes, particularly ones dealing with serious issues.
