Nintendo spent their money on game play, while Sony spent their money on graphics. BTW, Sony loses about $300 per system, because they are selling the system for less then it's worth.

I like the new controller, the really show off what it can do in Red Steel.

At Circuit City...I worked on the day of the release..since that is my department...games and stuff..and we had 21 of them..they were all gone within a 15 minute time slot...like no joke.

Wii kicks the PS3's a**! Tested the Wii out while I was at gamestop last night and tried "Mii channel" Wich let's you create a Mii(little guy to represent you)and he walks free on screen and talks to others.

Considering I am a university student, and by extension personally poor, I think I may have to wait and see. From a pure gameplay perspective I do like the wii's interaction capability of course I am really into the idea of becoming part of the game that you are in. I think a CL game for wii would be very interesting if you could use the various "powers." There is also a lot of promise I think in the sports area. Of course people love graphics, and so the ps3 will sell big time on that. Truth be told, both are going to sell great and some people will have both.

To answer the thread question though, I am basically reserving judgement.

I'm totally getting this, but....

My dad said that there are two versions for the Wii. The one that just came out, is almost like a Beta. The graphics aren't as good, and you can't play online.

Sometime in 2007 they'll release the good version, with better graphics, and online play. >.<

There are two versions, with a minor upgrade. The one our now CAN play online and has the final graphics rendor. The upgrade: starting with the first shipment from Nintendo after the new year, the Wii will have DVD support. Online play will be released in 2007, and both versions will support it.

-Graphics are not better
-Online play is supported for both versions
-DVD support is exclusive to the second.
