It was a really cool season finale!

I don't watch Naruto and 4chan made all the star wars paralell jokes for me, so the CL S3 season ender was honest to god the first thing my mind ran too, sorry. But yeah, Avatar season finale also rocked, and did so in a way you don't expect like always. They spend a whole season building you up to belive it was gonna turn out a different way, amazing on their part.

Since the first season debuted in February and the second in March, I'd say we'll get season three during May at the latest. I'm figuring after an ending like that, they'll start it as soon as sweeps begin, meaning February or May.

Season one ended so... up. Season two ended so... down. You'd think they forgot that they wanted four seasons rather than three (a depressing ending like this is setting us up for an explosive season three, no pun intended with all of the firebending ).

Well so much for the 'Zuko being Aang's firebending teacher' theory.

This was a great way to end the season, Katara, Zuko, and Aang have become better benders (especially Zuko), Aang's let Katara go (this'll make shippers crazy), Ba Sing Se has fallen and Mai doesn't like Bosco . I can't decide now whether it's gonna be harder to wait for CL season four or Avatar season three.

The wait'll probably be just as bad in both fandoms x__x Both seasons ended on a reeeeaaaaally bad note (Ba Sing Se falling, Lyoko disappearing), a big fat cliffhanger and a plot twist. If Avatar starts up again in March like CL then I think I am going to die x___X;

What was even worse was the way the Earth King said, Ba Sing Se, is no more at the end. That was just way too depressing.

Although I do love Katara's whole water shield/suit of armor thingy and the octupus as well! And then when she tidal waves over to Aang. Her waterbending has gotten a lot stronger since SotN.

I was quite mad when Zuko decided to help Azula...But then again it's understandable, he wants pride and honor back. Though I felt bad for him when he looked distressed at the end. His firebending though...was just o___X The power behind it man...

No!!! Iroh was captured. D: But the whole dragon thing was pretty amazing.

Yea xD I'm done now.

I liked Aang's crystal suit of armor. It reminded me kind of a Net Navi-type creature, or of some kind of robot. I was, understandably, very angry when it was destroyed.

Iroh is just like Bumi: he's only going to be a prisoner for as long as he wants to be.

As for Aang's crystal suit, it was quite sweet. Katara's water octopus was also very cool. She's a real powerful bender herself; I honestly did not think the writers would allow her to best Azula in a 1v1, but she did so without too much trouble.

I loved Aangs suit of armor, I also love it when he did that gust of wind in the shape of his body.

Orriginally, I hoped maybe Zuko was going in as a plant, but the more I look at it, the little signs say that he once again, as ever, bought into any slim chance to go home and have his father's love and his honor back. I don't know at all, really it could go either way, I pick up what could be little hints for either, I'm just making my conclusion.

Whats interesting is that Azula seems to take him seriously all of a sudden. Not that she nesseicarily needs him by any strech, but he's suddenly an asset she wants to build up and put in good graces? She never the whole show before now gave him any length of respect., it's odd. Those little signs I mentioned? One of them is that he's suddenly Zuko again to her instead of Zuzu.

Also, gosh, way to kill all the big ships in one episode there pretty much tptb. The Zutara fans are taking it the hardest surely since they were about miliseconds away from everything the wanted, its almost cruel what tptb did to em setting it up like that, but eh, canon is fickle like that.

Just like with CL, I can't hardly wait the months for this to start up again, so many things to have answered.

Yes, I'm also very interested in how Azula is acting. At first I thought that she was just using this to send him back to the Fire Nation where he'd be taken prisoner (much like she tried the first time). I watched it again though, and there was absolutely no implication of this at all -- no close-ups on her smirking face when Zuko can't see her, no mentioning it in passing, nothing. It's almost like she has him subservient to her, and this makes her happy with him since that is the way she thinks things should be. It's just like with Long Feng: "you are my ho now, so go make me a sandwich."

So I'm thinking that the kind (if clearly steering) attitude she's showing towards Zuko is geniune. Not an altruistic kind of thing, but still a genuine belief that Zuko has restored his honor and can now take his rightful place at her side, helping her.

Azula's conniving, and if this doesn't work, Zuko's gonna take the fall, but for now, Azula's glad to have him around. She knows he's a valuable asset- he's not as powerful a firebender as she is, but he's good (that fire whip thing he did had me going ).

I hope that Aaron Ehasz (head writer) got laid on Friday. He's earned it. What a great curve ball to all the fans. The friend I watched it with changed her name to "Why, Zuko?! WHY!?" on MSN.
