I don't particuarly like to read stories where the pairings are just shattered, with no believeable explanation ( for example aelita leaving jeremie because he is abusive.... given his personality in the show, this is a very very very unlikely scenario... it would be more beliveable from the standpoint of jeremie ignoring her to much.

Given the evidence from the show ( which is hard to see because each episode is not a single day, but sometimes a whole collection of days) Jeremie could really be in danger of losing Aelita if he does not spend more time with her.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with this theory.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I just find it hard to judge how the friendship/relationship dynamics are going given such an indiscrete timeline. There are potentially a lot of things we don't know, who knows?

Personally, while I am straight, my favorite non-canon pairings are AelitaxXANA and JeremiexXANA, to a certain degree. Both for the same reason- they have stronger connections to the evil virus thingy than any other characters in the show, except for perhaps Franz Hopper (NO.).

In the AxX perscriptive, I imagine XANA trying to seduce Aelita into doing something for him, teasing her to annoy Jeremie, or actually honestly falling for her. (The last one...that'd be cute...) JxX... with the image XANA's managed to cultivate for himself... that actually would belong in BKO. I honestly don't know...it just appeals to me somehow.

(I guess JerxXANA would be considered 'homosexual', but since XANA's technically androgynous (or whatever it's called)...yeah.)

Where's the talk of non-canon couples? There certainly isn't much on this particular page. So how about I try to restart the discussion with a simple question - do you prefer your non-canon couples to be hetero, yaoi, or yuri? Please explain why you made your decision.

I myself do not care one way or the other. I like non-canon couples simply because they break away from the show's tired norms. I'll just as gladly read an OddxSissi fanifc as I would an OddxUlrich or a SissixYumi fic.
