Grades and Life. BAD combination.

I'm sure most of you guys have had World War III with your parents about your school work.

I work really hard on my school work, I come home with a B on some 10 paged English report and my parents weren't happy. If I hear one more "Oh Mailinda you can do better" I'm going to wringle one of their necks in my hands!

THEN, my Grandma all of a sudden dies. So we go all the way to Miami, Florida to go to her Funeral. We stay in Florida for a week which makes me miss my homework. I don't care about missing school.

So when I come home with a huge chunk of homework my mom storms in my face saying "Where did all this come from!?" Before I can even say something she says "You are supposed to do your work and not hide it!"

So I get grounded for the rest of Chirstmas break.

But then it got even WORSE when my dad came home, my mom tells what happened (which is a lie..) so I get grounded for another extra two weeks.

I cannot even explain to them! They KNOW We've been at Grandpa's and I've missed out on my work. But I HATE THIS!!!!

(I get an hour on the computer every day. I killed ten minutes typing this rant.)

WOW and I thought living with a teacher was bad enough. My mom is a teacher so I cant really fail. Do you have time to make up all the work? Try explaining to your parents that it is not your falt that you have all this work. They new that you would miss school and they should have notified the teacher or you should have asked your teacher for the work. It is also not fair that you got grounded because of this. I am also sorry for your loss.

Damn, that sucks. I know how it feels with grades and parents sayin to improve all the time when it was something so hard... that really sucks for you. have you tried getting mad and not accepting no for an answer to them. Constantly try to talk to them no matter what and even scream like how you're doing right now. Tell them that they KNOW you missed the work because of your grandma's death (I'm sorry about that. RIP) and that it's not fair how they are treating you. Get all emotional and stuff. Make them realize how they are mistreating you. And again, don't let them back away. Corner them and start talking so that there's no possible way for them to retaliate until you're done...

This can also be bad because you can get in more trouble so, be careful. But, do something. Don't ruin the relationship between you and your parents no matter how much you want to... best of luck.
