Frusturating...

I can't take this anymore! Everytime I'm over here it's like I'm a slave! Yesterday, for example, I was happily writing fanfiction when my aunt comes in and tells me that I've got to help her let the dog next door (she's feeding it and letting it in and out of the house while the family is on vacation) out of the house so it can go to the bathroom. To make matters worse, I happen to be SICK now and the last thing I need is some freezing cold, North-Eastern American air blowing in my face while I walk 200 feet to my neighbor's house. They eventually got my brother to do it but that's not the point; I'm basically helping everybody do everything when I have my time alone on the computer. Like, yesterday, my grandma made me look up a resturant. :pbthbb: I DON'T CARE! DO IT ON YOUR OWN TIME! Also, my aunt babysits this little 3 yearold who's obsessed with Elmo. And my aunt makes me look up Elmo on Google images while I'M busy writing fanfics or making fanart or whatever! Someone goes "Oh, we can't find the Elmo DVD." And my aunt goes "Oh, Tom will get it up on the internet."
And I'm thinking. "Maybe Tom doesn't WANT to." And, my brother doesn't do a single damn thing here! He just lies around all day doing whatever he wants! I mean, I don't mind helping out, but I think I help out a little TOO much and everyone that lives here is WAY too dependant on me. No one has to reply to this if they don't want to; I just wanted to get it off my chest.

I try to be greatful that people are dependent on my computer skills rather than my physical skills. I've always got someone in here aking for online info, for me to download them a song or tv show, or upload pictures from a camera and email people and gar! But atleast I don't have to do the laundry or dishes or junk like that :D
Have you ever said "not right now" and gotten a "what are you doing that you can't do a little later?" There's never a good answer :cussout:
But you definitely get my sympathies about having to put up with animals, kids, walking, cold.. They're all things I wouldn't touch with a 20" pole.
I can only hope that you get well soon and that someday, thanks to the technological revolution, the less computer savvy will no longer require you as a go between for them and cyberspace.

tat could be seen as a good thing, it lets you get so dependant on you that she can no longer do anything on her own, then, yank the help away from her(inspired by dilbert). Okay that might be a little cruel, but you could ask her to pay you for your services...
A lot of member have sigs that say"I'm a boy", or "I'm a girl", I refuse to join this trend.

Heh, I was just checking this thread when my mom came in and said "I need you to download four video clips and burn them to dvd, enter my details on some website, and look up the prices for hiring a sander." :snoring:

Thats why I am glad I live alone...but I do help friends if they ask for it...and I will help my family when they ask..because its only once in a while. I enjoy helping people when I can. I understand how yall feel though, when I was still living at home, it was the same deal.
Amtrak, its everywhere I want to be!
