I was promised to be a judge for a contest, and they just told me "Sorry, you're not a judge" When they promised me. :arg:

This really could have gone either way.
One way is that they just made an honest mistake and forgot, or
The other way is that they just wanted you off their back, so they humored you.
Hopefully it's the first.
