No it's not just you. I had the same problem yesterday.

It [Jeremy] launches, then, a program which it concocté with Aelita for [needs Aelita for?]… recreating Carthage! It [Jeremy], with this intention, used information of the message of Hopper [the message from Contact?]!

It seems like to recreate carthage Jeremy is going to use part of what he had of Hopper himself (the message he sent in the episode Contact) to recreate Carthage, like Hopper is part of Carthage. And instead of the usual XANA attack keeping at least one of the characters from going to Lyoko, this time it's going to be Jim instead.

Now about that Voice Changer, I do recall from one episode that Jeremy did create one and used it which was when he spoke to Jim in the form of the Principal's voice. So why would Jeremy need to recreate this Voice Changer program? Also, that Black Manta is obviously that space ship looking thing in the preview because if you look at it, it has wings like a Flying Manta. In addition, in that scene in the preview, you will also see some lasers being fired from behind towards the Black Manta.

Now about that comment Jeremy made about Xana being possessed William's master, I don't think that Xana himself is actually inside William because of the fact that he got possessed by a Scyphozoa (a virus of Xana) meaning that Xana himself was not contained within the Scyphozoa and that he is instead lurking in the Internet with possessed William as his minion.

Heh, calm down, Taelia...it's just the first episode of a 30 episode long season...there's plenty of time for lots of things to happen. Don't stress so much about it. ^^

Same here...I can't wait for this episode! ^.^ Sounds like there's some romantic hints after all (if Sissi's pestering Aelita about Jeremie...and there's Yumi's latest encounter with the digital void too ^^ ).

Now with Mew's thing, it all becomes clear. Except one thing. Is William now posessed by XANA (and, in retrospect, IS XANA), or has he proclaimed himself a XANA minion? I think it leans towards the first, but Jeremie's last comment got me confused

From this episode...I believe they're purposely leaving it unclear at least for the now. I'm not sure the CL gang themself is entirely sure...but it's definitely certain that XANA can influence William's actions at the very least. I'm sure this will be further explained better as the episodes continue...and we see more of William's villainy. *nods*

Well, nothing's for sure...remember, the people at MoonScoop like to play with our heads...it makes for a better show and better plots that way.

Nothing certain (other than indeed, William is in some shape or form under XANA's control) is for sure...there's lots of possibilities past that. *nods*

It's kinda like James the Lesser's stories (very good ones, please read them), where XANA's minions that he's turned to his side walk the earth, ready to serve their master's will.

But on to more pressing concerns...

Will William have Lyoko powers on Earth? That would seem to be a huge advantage if it were to actually happen.

Still, I'll be interested in seeing what happens if Kadiac get's attacked for whatever reason. Would you have to be scanned by the scanners to be translated? Would being translated count as being scannned (for RTTP purposes)?

Hmmm...I'd imagine you'd have to be scanned somehow first. The Translation program, from what's been released about it, seems to be dependent on whether or not one has a Lyoko form. The Translation program merely allows one to materialize in the real world with all of one's virtual powers...otherwise, it'd just be a "Materialization", I think. ^^

William's a bad bad boy

This matches into what we've heard so far for episode 1 of S4 - I have a few thoughts:

1: This is the first time we've seen someone enter Lyoko unconcious - in fact I think it's the only time we've ever seen someone 'out cold' in Lyoko, bar those few seconds of a sleeping Aelita in 'XANA Awakens'.

2: OUCH! That fall looked painful

3: Aelita's still in her classic outfit, scrapping the theory that the new outfits are a result of a change in the kids mentalities, coupled with the loss and regenesis of Lyoko.

Hmmm...I can't remember if Aelita was virtualized unconscious or not in both "Final Mix" and "Mister Puck". Ulrich, however, has been knocked unconscious in Lyoko before in "Satellite"...ironically after taking a very lovely fall as well. ^^;

Hmmm, this does seem to support what was earlier mentioned in one of those MoonScoop press releases that the new outfits are merely to protect them from the Digital Void where the Replikas are located

At any rate, this does mean that we do indeed get to see the old outfits again. *woots* Granted it's only when they're in Sector 5 (although, there's a possibility on the "Translation" process too ^^ ), but I think that's a nice extra. ^_^

It's weird... I like William more now then I did when he WASN'T possessed by the super-evil computer program from Hell.

But more to the point, let's review the powers we now know him to have:

Connection to XANA
Ability to levitate objects
Freaking huge sword
Possible lightning powers (if XANA gave him powers and abilities similar to a possessed person)
Cool outfit

Regarding this...

The episode begins with Jeremie, in the Factory's lab working on one of his programs: A Voice Changer. He calls the principal and, using the program to mimic William's voice, calls himself out of school for an indefinite period. He then launches a new program that he made with Aelita and with help from Franz Hopper's coded message that recreates Carthage.

Doesn't sound like anything new. The voice changer thing he pulled it off before. Good move from Jeremie, though.

The kids return back to Kadic where lots of changes have taken place. Milly and Tamiya (who have been bickering incessantly) have decided to close the Kadic paper (Echos de kadic). Happily (or unhappily), Sissi decides to overtake management of it (a job she gets automatically as principal's daughter).

Who gives a crap about that job Milly and Tamiya had? Not important, really. Just bonus stuffing for this episode.

Now head of the paper, Sissi wastes no time in badgering Ulrich for an interview (to the point where he tells her to scram...I believe he uses the classic "Put an egg in your shoe and beat it," line *snickers* ). Irritated, Sissi decides to pester Yumi (and subsequently Ulrich), by asking how her relationship with William is going.

No comment.

Bad question. However, things don't go further than that...as William himself appears!

*insert suspense emotion here* F**k William.

After the crowds disperse, the surprised group of heroes question William about what happened. Long story short is that he returned back to Earth in one of the scanners, and apparently has no memory of the Scyphozoa getting him and anything that happened after that. So everyone can now rest easy.

Meh...

Not long after, the XANA symbol flashes in William's eyes and he heads straight for Aelita's room. After he gets Sissi out of the room (who was in there bothering her about her relationship with Jeremie), he knocks her out and makes for the Factory. (poor Aelita ^^;)

No comment.

The kids try to head after them but Sissi's meddling slows them down, particularly Odd. She's found out about the "Paco" incident and has released it to the public. In order to make things up to Jim, Odd has to wear Jim's old Disco suit and dance around. (So now we have "Odd: The King of Disco")

Paco? First, we already know that most of Jim's life is actually full of s**t, and now Odd has to portray a silly role? What a waste.

Back in Lyoko, William has virtualized himself (with his new XANA look) and Aelita into Sector 5 and heads straight for the Heart of it. Ulrich and Yumi go after them on their Lyoko vehicles, while William is making haste on a vehicle of his own, a Black Manta.

Guess I'll wait to see how it goes.

Eventually, William is able to escape with Aelita out of the Heart of Lyoko by opening it to access what is likely a Replika Desert Region. Yumi and Ulrich catch-up with them but things go badly. Ulrich gets "pwned" and Yumi gets knocked into the Digital Void (which is what...the 5th/6th time now *sweatdrops* ). She's saved by Odd who devirtualizes her with a laser arrow in time. He then saves Aelita and manages to get William to fall from his Manta ride.

Same as above

However, William has gained the power of levitation (either courtesy of XANA or because that was what his Lyoko power would have been) and he escapes to, as Jeremie says, "to join his new master, XANA".

End episode. ^.^

Meh... stupid episode ending, I guess.


Now, back to the recent thing posted.

All I learned was that William is still a powerful being and he still has a gay outfit. Nothing new, really.
